do you ever watch those music videos where the images in the video have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the song???
I mean the song could be about a jilted lover and on the screen they have wispy colorful pieces if silk stockings flying through a tunnel in front of a tree while a flock of vultures circle around overhead.
or the song could be about a gang fight in the hood, but the images are of a herd of pandas ballet dancing on a meadow of lavender flowers while pink fairies swoop in and out of the scene.
well here's a video that matches perfectly with the lyrics being sung.
it's about time someone got it right.

Actually, the revolution of creating videos for arts' sake, rather than for any musical purpose happened around the time that MTV ceased to be about Music TeleVision (it's original intention). I think that many of the directors are trying to win art awards, rather than sell the artist that created the music. Back in the early days of MTV, you could see videos...and heck! they might even star the singer or band!

Once upon a time, in a land (heck, ok, it was the early 80s!), a new idea was born...the idea of those music videos that were very rarely sold on regular TV AND MAKE AN ENTIRE CHANNEL! Thus, MTV, or Music TeleVision was born.
Can anyone remember those early days? The early veejays? Who even knows what the title of the VERY FIRST MUSIC VIDEO played on MTV (name and band please)?
I think now you have to buy DVDs on bands to see a music video nowadays....

I was there in the pre-cable era.......and I know the first MTV video was "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles.

Bonnie Tyler AND a Pepper's parody? Does it honestly get any better than that? All we can hope now is that someone has the media savvy to splice the 2 together somehow. You haven't lived until you've been in an Asian Karaoke bar and seen some of the videos that accompany the many songs available to sing. I remember once almost being reduced to tears by a soul stirring rendition of Unchained Melody, while on the big screen that showed the lyrics, video footage of a man gutting and cleaning fish rolled poignantly in the background! Beautiful, it was just beautiful! 
If only they'd included silk, flocks of vultures and dancing panda's in lavender fields behind the fish cleaning man..... Now THIS may have turned that "almost being reduced to tears" into sobbing like never seen before. Whether they would've been tears of joyful sadness or laughter is a different question entirely.

ever! It really freaked me out! I can't quite grasp how I
felt watching it, but it did freak me out! Did I say that

I love the "real" version of that song, but this version is
certainly pretty damn cool, I think? Like the dude with the
long hair! Definitely more my type! Actually, is definitely
