Would you accept less?

We obviously have a serious lack of space in our new place, and so cannot set up hubby's computer. Since we moved we've been attempting to sell it. It's practically new, we only just recently finished paying on it. Right now it's just sitting here taking up space, and of course we could use the money. But it's not selling for what we wanted for it. We've lowered the price once or twice already, but still we're not getting an offer within our range. Would you sell it for less than you want to get for it, or would you hold out, waiting for the right offer to come along?

How old is the computer? computers and digital cameras are declining in price because of very fast developing of digital world. I paid 2K for my digital camera 2 years ago and now it cost only $600.... We have no choice but accept this fact... Yes, I would sell it for less, the longer you wait, the less money you can take...

My husband works in a computer store, he already knows. He's the one who decided the price. Sadly the people who buy from him pay twice as much for a used computer as we're asking for!

It's less than a year old, and it was top of the line when we bought it. We paid over $1,000 for it, and at the moment we're asking $300. I think that's fair, since I saw a computer similar to mine (which is 3 years old) being sold for $600. But people are still trying to talk me down. One guy offered $150 for the whole thing. Nuts!

I really don't think I'd be willing to accept less for the computer considering you've already lowered the price several times before. Someone has to come along somewhere that is interested in buying it. Be patient, ask around, someone will get interested eventually.

We really need the money right now. We're actually thinking of swapping our computers though, and selling mine instead. It's older and not worth as much, so if they offer me for mine what they're offering for his, that would be acceptable. I just have to back up all my pictures and videos first.

I guess it would depend on how badly we needed the money. I probably would go a little less but I wouldn't go too much less though since it is new. I wouldn't want to go to far less since you barely used it. If we needed the money asap I probably would take what we could get as long as it wasn't so low it was insulting.

It depends from computer you are selling...such as it is normal that even if your computer have not much time and works good you must think about the price you want in relation to conditions or to the computer you are selling to...i meant in many cases market go very fast especially in tech so we see the soar of many system and computer which they will be cheaper and new so people can prefer that..so for this reason it depends from conputer, cpu and its configuration and so iw ill think and understand if my device it can be competitve even if it is used or not..if not i will think a less price..wait and see!!

Like I said, it's practically new. We didn't really get a whole lot of use out of it.

Keep it Kat. What if something happened to your computer. Keep this one if you can as this would be better than giving it away for litttle or nothing. Blessings

Yes, but we could really use the money right now... especially considering the size of the bill we have coming up next week. If we don't find a way to get a little extra money to help with that bill... basically the bill is the same size as hubby's paycheck, and right now my back account is in the negative. *sigh*

When did you buy the computer and for how much? Because computers always get cheaper because of the rapid development of IT and also it has become second hand buyers won't care if its brand new because you already used it once and they will take advantage of that. What I think you should do is try and add more stuff into the computer and in that way you could shift the computer quicker and you will be able to earn more money than you wanted.

We upgraded the RAM as soon as we bought it.. there isn't much else we can do to make this computer worth more. The problem is nobody is willing to pay what it's worth. My husband works with computers and knows what they're worth. I had someone today try to offer me $20 for just the monitor. It's a 19" widescreen LCD monitor... I even still have the box! They're just cheapskates! That's what I think.

For a computer that is practically brand new there is no way I would take less for it. Not a lot less, a little less maybe but other than that I would hold out because someone is bound to give you what you want for it.
