what do you do when interupted by TV commericals ?

For TV viewers it is always annoying to be interupted by those tedious commericals. so I am asking what do you usually do during that period of time? wait patiently or swift to other channels to check any interesting TV programs? or do something else, making full use of that period of time?

Haha, very true. The thing is though, although I always moan when the adverts come on, whenever I watch the BBC (which of course has no adverts) I end up needing the bathroom 10 minutes before the end of a show or sitting feeling really thirsty. Luckily nowadays I'm able to pause live television but sometimes it doesn't work.

I remember when I was a little girl back in the very early 60s, I stayed with my German grand-parents during the summers and holidays. (I was living in Germany at the time) I remember even now, that that there were no commercials during programing, all the commercials for that program were played at one time so the programing would not be interrupted.
Things have changed a lot over the years. I'm with you about pausing live programing. I hate all the commercials.
I wonder what they have planned for the day when it will take about 20 minutes of commercials to pay for 10 minutes of thirty minute programming?

I watch them sometimes, but usually i do not pay attention to them. One thing that annoys me is the fact that they seem to always be increasing the noise level on the commercials so they overpower whatever else is on TV at the time. They are extremely loud.

I completely agree there. There has been several occasions where myself or family members have jumped in shock at the sudden noise when the adverts come on. I also hate it when adverts have people in them who are shouting rather than just speaking.

I usually go to the bathroom. In some cases , I change the channel to see the other show I am watching. Once I saw 5 hockey games at once. When one went to commercal, I changed to another. It was wild , jerseys and players began to blend. Usually I am watching two shows at once or a show without commricals these days.

That is a short break time or my husband and I will talk about our day or what we have been watching.
We tend to have very in depth discussions about the oddest things at this time. We will pick on something that has happened in our show and talk about it from various angles and points.

I'll usually get up and go to the bathroom, or perhaps grab a snack or make some chocolate milk. If I'm feeling particularly lazy, I'll simply change channels and put it on something else until I'm sure that all of the commercials on the original channel are over. When I'm feeling particularly creative, I'll work on some knitting or some cross-stitching. :D

When Britain's Got Talent was on, I knew that the adverts would be long and so I decided to switch over to BBC 3 whenever the adverts were on. Managed to watch quite a bit of some interesting programs. Almost didn't switch back over. But usually, I tend to go and get a drink or sit through them.

I don't always just sit through a TV show i am usually cooking backing or cleaning around the house. If i do sit on the couch or lay down in bed i will switch through the channels most of the time when a Commercial comes on because some of them just bug me but then of course you do have the funny ones of course.

I go to the bathroom or get something to eat. Sometimes I check if anything else is going on on the other channels that I would like to watch.
