An Oregon teen was struck by lightning and survives. I am so shocked at this whole incident. Usually people are killed immediately. My ex was struck by lightning and his partner was killed. I hope the teen realizes how lucky he is. Kids these days are always trying to take unnecessary chances. I hope that someone can learn something from this. Best wishes to him and his family. have you or someone you know been struck by lightning or electrocuted?

I think you may be right my friend! He definately has someone watching over him that's for sure. I would think twice about checking the weather reports before I go into anyones field. Statistics show getting hit by lightning isnt very likely. With my luck I would be the one who gets struck. They say that the lightning went in thru his head and out his foot. He is very lucky boy. He said he wants to be called SPARKY. lol thanks dl

That happended in my area also. We have bad storms around here as I talked about in one of my other discussions. This little boy was playing catch with his friend because their litttle league game was called off due to the storm.. He was hit by lighting and killed!

God bless the little angel. I hope his family is okay. I have lost a child as well, not the same way, but I do know what the loss feels like. I think that lightning has always scared me. I remember when I was little even my little dog would run and hide when it began to storm outside. I will always take thunder and lightning very seriously. THanks for sharing.dl

Wow. That is truly amazing that they survived. I think alot of children these days push thier luck with alot of things. They will never change until things like this happen to them. some never change though.

I couldnt imagine even being struck once. I would have to say that guy is one lucky son of a bi**h. lol Electricity bothers me. I get so nervous anytime I have to deal with any kind of electrical procedures. I have been shocked several times and every time I have I have the worst feelings for about a week or so after. I know its all in my head but still its a horrible feeling. dl

I saw on the news a couple years ago how a teen was struck by lightning. The soles of his feet were burned, but other than that he was okay. He was conscious and everything when they took him to the hospital. When I see the lightning, I go indoors. I'm not about to tempt "fate".
