Summer Colds

For several days now I have been battling the worst summer cold that I've gotten in years. Summer colds always seem worse for me because I like the A/C, and it is hard for me to survive without using it while I nurse my cold. One of my daughters is bringing over a vaporizer, and she has admonished me, no A/C! After two nights with very little sleep I can say that I'm willing to do it her way now. Do you ever get a summer cold? How does it compare to a cold during the wintertime to you?

I feel for you. Summer colds are horrible. I never did figure out if the a/c helps or not but I do leave it on for about 6 months out of the year. Sometimes sitting outside for awhile in the sun can help a little bit. Not to the point of sweating but just some rays. Feel better soon.

I very rarely get sick. This year, I got a really bad cold in the spring. It drove me crazy! It always seems like there is nothing I can do to get rid of it. I dont think I have eve had a summer cold. Until a couple of years ago, the air conditioning wouldnt have been a problem - I didnt have any! But now we have to when it gets really hot. My husband sweats really bad and if we didnt have air conditioning we would wake up with the sheets soaked. So gross. Thankfully it hasnt gotten that hot yet! I hope you feel better soon!

I get a summer cold every now and then. I did not get sick at all during the wintertime and that is very rare for me. Summer colds are very bad for me too. They are very hard to get rid of along with allergies too.

I agree that summer colds are especially miserable. I tend to think they start out with allergies. It just is not as much fun to stay in bed and rest when it is beautiful out doors and warm.

Take some Chrysanthamum tea. It is the best for colds! I had pneumonia one year and this was better than the antibiotics. You can buy it at an international market or a health food store. Just keep drinking pot after pot of it. You will pee like crazy but it will clear out all the toxins. I take it on the road with me since I travel with my job and nothing is worse than having a cold, away from home and living in a hotel room. Try it out.
