are you close with your father?

I am close with my father more than my mother and my brother. I spend a lot of time talking to my father and we have similar interests. We watch movies together and play sports together when he has the time.

I'm way closer to my dad then my mom. My parents split when I was a teenager and I lived with my dad. Even when I lived a 12 - 14 hr drive away I saw WAY more of my dad then my mom. I'm currently living in the same town as both my parents work. I see my dad almost everyday and my mom only once a week to 2 weeks. My son loves seeing my dad way better then my mom. My dad is way more supportive then my mom.

Like you too, i am not close with my father because i did not grew up with him but with my grandparents, with my siblings mother and stepfather. Either way i am thankful because in the absence of my real father my grandfather was there and when he gone i accepted the reality that i have no real father. I seen my father only once, and i am hoping that i will see him again before its too late because he is now in his 70's.

Hi Cainam, I love my father but I am not very close to him. I am not close to him because he drinks everyday of his life and people that drink everyday are slowly killing them selves. And I can't stand sitting there watching him do that to him self. It hurts me to much to watch. But I do go and visit him once every month or once every 2 months. But I do call him and talk to him and I always remind him that I love him very much.

you should thanks to god have a father like him..dont think you father choose your bro than you cause you a girl..find a way to reduce the gaps between you and your father..i was througth that way..now i really close to him and we spent most every weekend together.

My father and I have a unique relationship. We live thousands of miles away from each other and hardly ever talk on the phone but we still have a very close relationship. When we see each other it is like no time has pasted and our relationship picks up where it left off. I think my father and i have a unique relationship in regards to closeness most people tend to grow apart from their parents if they move away that never happened to us.

Please don't think in such a way. Try to be close to your dad, visit him often, send mails and presents to him, you can gift him something great and memorable on the coming father's day. I am also not too close to my dad, but I will behave in such a way that makes him feel special and proud of me.

Hi, I am very close to my father more than my mother. It's like i can go and talk to him about anything i feel. He'll be always with me with every decision i take. We are just like good friends. He is very protective of me. As i am the only child i get all the attention i want hehe. Infact i am really lucky to get such a nice parents.
