What outside noise usually wakes you from sleeping?

I haven't slept well for about six years. My husband says I can hear a mouse f-rt at the other end of the house. (I don't mean for that to sound crude) Anything can me wake up. It's nothing for me to wake up five or six time through the night for no reason what so ever.

The sound of cars, vehicles and horns of it, can make me awake especially if it is non-stop. Because we are near the highway, To lessen it up i close tightly all windows and have a sound in the background of my favorite music.

My cat gets me up, if I even move and he thinks it's time to get up he meows and he keeps it up until I get up and take him out. I hurry to do that so he won't wake my Hubby.

The noise of a passing car which seems the driver is having a race. Then the noise of cats early dawn as if they are having quarrels. Then sometimes they ran after each other and bang over cans and bottles in the backyard. Then the noisy neighbor LOL

I am lucky enough to live in a very peaceful place surrounded by olive trees and it is mainly totally silent outside apart from the ciccadas. Any noise carries though in this kind of environment and barking dogs are the worst even if they are some distance away. My pet hate is the odd house which has a burgular alarm, they are usually holiday homes and they go off whenever the power goes off and it is so irritating as there is no one to respond to them, the people generally live in another country and no one is ever going to investigate the alarm going off.
