I have just started my blogspot blog... and I intend to use it for earning. However, part of me wants to do something like a diary, weher I can store my personal experiences and pieces of me. Now that I am determined to starting a new blog for myself, I am lost on which blogsite is best for personal blogging. Can you guys help?

if you want to have a personal blog not accessible to the public, blogspot also has options for that. i have 2 blogs in blogspot, one of which is my personal blog and can only be read by me.

I have not tried that. Okay, will try to explore my blogspot then. Thanks for the tip. Have you seen www.ezwpthemes.com? They have really cool templates for personal blogs, however, I am not sure if they can be used for a blogspot blog.

Yeah... I actually realized now, how slow the earnings are for me when it comes to blogging. However, I've learned to have fun with it...and trying to improve on it, is no longer merely for earning... I am actually enjoying it already. So earning or not... I'm fine!!! Just as long as I'm having fun...

I love blogspot. I use it for the two blogs I have. I have one for my online earnings and one for freebies I find online. I recommend the blogspot.

Yes... and so far, I guess it is the most newbie friendly of all blogging websites. Freebies online? That sounds interesting. Hope you can share more about it. Do you have your blogs on your profile? Would love to check on them. Feel free to check mine too :-)

I find wordpress confusing. I already tried opening an account, but can't seem to figure out how to start. Also, Can't I use my own theme with wordpress? I just don't find their free themes appealing, but have been seeing websites with Wordpress templates. It's confusing.

Oh yea, personal blog you have the key to and nobody else is definitely useful. I haven't gotten into the blog for pay thing--dont even know how to start which tells me Im falling behind (and then I have to catch up to Tweeter *deep breath*) but kids will do that to you. I can confess because i used to spend 100$ every other week just for electronic gadgets before kids...you can see where this is going, now its frosted flake...milk? LOL, ok, its not that bad--those gadgets dont bring you LOVE, its great! Don't mind me Im in my chatty mood, I'll stop. Yea, any advice on starting a blog for pay as a new beginner is good over here. I like having my own personal blog because I can pick and choose what parts of it I want to transfer to my myspace page (actually this idea just came to me a couple weeks ago) and I find it useful being able to look back at where I was a year ago, highly recommend it.

I have always loved reading blogs... but it's just a few weeks back (or was it weeks?), that I realized I wanted to make my own blog. I guess it's a cute way of sharing the happenings of your life aside from using other social networks. I decided to separate my personal blog frm my earning blog... since I wouldn't want to share a lot about me to me people that I think... won't care at all. You are kinda funny. Yeah... there's a lot of catching up to the happenings and changes online. I have a lot to learn too.

Well you can decide what you want to do in a blog, there is not stopping you from monetizing your blog even if it is a personal diary. As long as you can get the interest of people, and the traffic there, you would be able to make money.

Yes, then again... there's more to learn in blogging. At first I really thought it's as easy as posting what you did for the day. But for now, I realized I really have a lot to learn. The good thing about blogging is, I have learned to open my doors to reading more stuff. You see, I hate reading. I am not into books and novels as a kid, not even now. But with blogging, I get to learn stuff from others. at the same time, improve.

I also have a money making blog. I love blogspot for a very customized blog, for earning dollars. I also have a personal blog, and for me, the best for personal blogs is wordpress. Try it, you'll love it too.

I've tried to register with wordpress already. However, I find it very confusing to use. For a blog newbie like me... I found it hard to navigate within it's dashboard. So that, I decided to stick with blogspot for now. I am not closing my doors to wordpress though... if only I'll know more about it's fearures. Do I need to download stuff there?
