Taking a good picture??

I am not so good in taking picture...........Usually use the auto function in the digicam........Can some of you help me out like wen to use the flash, how to take a good pic durin the night......to be more precise how do i configure the manual option??? Please help me out guys

Well, in order to take a picture at night, it's generally recommend you use a tripod. Your hands just aren't steady enough for the settings you'll need to take a night photograph. As for using the manual option, my recommendation would be the consult your instruction manual. Each camera is different. It took me a while to figure out how to set the exposure and such using the manual setting, but that was only after I read the book. Just remember that the aperture controls how much light is let in and your shutter speed will need to be slower, generally. You'll just have to mess around with those a bit in order to find the right combination for your setting. :) Good luck taking your picture!

thx for the reply but wat is the use image stabilization in the cam???? Wat are those ISO settings for???

Image stabilization is a technique used in cameras, which help to get sharp images even when there are minor shakes while taking the photographs. ISO settings are light sensitive adjustment. So if you want to take photographs at night time without flash set the ISO to 800 or more. It will make the photographs grainy but will help you to take the photos which are not dark.
