I have sifted nearly 8 places in 35 years to make my life and still I am bot able find permanent place to live. Most of my shifts are due to the loss of jobs and for studies and I rarely visit my native. Though I wish to live in my native, there it will not be possible to make our life earnings. But at the end, if will be saying there only if unless otherwise the God thinks and plays differently. Are you in your native or you are also searching for the life like me? when will our search end? Is it at the end of our life? I am highly depresses when I used think about my parents who are in my native..

Only the SriLankan residents are the people who knows the value of own land,in this world and I need not explain much about this to you.All the happenings there are just to live in our own land. Every one in this world will like to die in the place where he born and this natural. As we have to run here and there for jobs, I am in doubt that whether I will be getting this opportunity or not. The world is too fast and anything may happen at any time. That's for I like to stay in my own place. Thanks for your response.

I am still in my birth country but not in same province. My family moved when I was barely one year old. My Mom took a teaching job in the school where she went to in college and we have lived permanently in the city where my family built a house. My jobs were concentrated mostly in the province where the city belongs but in different parts of the province but I see to it that I come home often. Then I had a short job in another province but I come home every two months.

Staying in some other country and staying in some other province has the little difference only as in both the cases, we are away from the home town.As we have to mainly focus the job, we have to neglect our own desire and wishes..But at least at the end of our life, if we happened to stay in our home town, then we can go up with peaceful mind. Thanks for your response

I am not at my birthplace right now due to my job at different location. My birthplace is my maternal Uncle (Mamaji in hindi)house as my mother is at her own motherland. Its very happy to think about that place where I and my mother takes birth.I always plan to move to that place. That's not tough for me. I visit that place once in a year nowadays.

I meant birthplace here as the place where we studied or grew up. I think you might have studied in your uncle's hoke only. But still you are in the wish of visiting your birthplace and hope you will have the opportunity very often though you are hot able to stay there itself permanently due to your work load. You are having the blessings of God so that you can stay in your own place as this will happen to only for the few nowadays as everyone is need to search for jobs in some other place. Most of us are not having the opportunity of working in our own place. When we are staying in some other place, we are not able to come back our home place some times due to the heavy work load etc. This makes me very unhappy. Thanks for your response.

You are absolutely correct..Everyone will love to live in the place where they born and this is possible only for the few.Every one is required to stay away from their own place for at least two or three years for some reason like jobs, business etc..AS you are building the house there itself, you are ready to live there itself and you might have settled well. Congrats..Thanks for your response.

The main reason for most of us for not able to stay away from our native is our parents. If they are too aged they may not be able to come with us and also their physical condition will not co operate with them. Most of them will not like to move from our native. But some are not considering them and they used to move as they like to earn. But I never mind about the earnings in front of our parents. But still I am not able to stay with them and hope I will go to my native very soon. Thanks for your response.

I am also still staying in my birth place, Singapore. I would love to work in other country if I am given the chance when I was still young. But guess it is a bit too late for me cos now I am married and with 2 children, It would be very difficult for me to leave my family behind and work in other country now. My family is very close knitted, I live very near to my parents as they help me take care of my children while I work. Happy myLotting o

I'm still in the same state and I've never moved out of it. However, I live about 2 hours away from my birth home and I'd love to move back. Unfortunately, there aren't that many job or housing opportunities there. It's also pretty expensive to live there. I hope to find a job and move there before I have kids. I miss my town and I hate living where I live now. I'm used to small towns and farms, not cities and urban areas.

Most of us are living in a place without any interest only for the sake of money or eduction of our childs or ours. If it is for study only then we can come back to our place within few years. But if it is for the job or for the business, then returning is very difficult for somebody. Every one will like to stay in their won only or at least wants to die there. I am also in this category. Thanks for your response.

Hi, I am totally away from my birth country. I was born in Japan and am originally from Japan, but I left my home country when I was 19 and came to USA. I've been living in US for 12 years. I am in New York and I'm really enjoying the life in here. I don't think my search has been over or done though. Who knows maybe I may go back to my home country, or moving to a different country later on. It's really exciting to keep searching. Settling is nice as well but we only have a short life, better enjoy while we can!

You are in the correct age to roam here and there and this may not be possible after 10 years and in that period, you will start thinking about your own land where you used to study, play, grow.Almost every one of us wish to stay and spend our life end in our own land. But this may not be possible to everyone. Hope we also get that opportunity in our life.

You seems to have lived a nomadic life in your 35 years of existence. But that is a great life experience to have to live in many places and learning the culture of others. I would have loved to be like you but unfortunately I was not blessed with that kind of opportunities and I have to be satisfied being rooted in my birth country to the end.

Yes.As you have mentioned, though I lost lot of things from my native, I have understand the world in these years. I knew how to deal the different kind of people. I have learned a lot about do's and don't in our life and this is really a great experience and I might not be able to learn if I were in my native itself. But apart from these, I still like to move to my native only.Hope I will move there very soon. Thanks for your response.

If we happen to move for the studies, then we will be back within a short period and that will take 4 or 5 years at the maximum.Meanwhile we will be visiting our home at least once in a month. But if we consider about our career opportunity, we are driven by the external forces and nothing is happened as per our wish. I am not able to even move to my own state now from where now I am staying and this will take just half a day to reach. This makes me to loose all of my interest in my life. Thanks for your response.

I have worked in some different places like out of my city for some time. Still I am working in a town out of my city. but after leaving the office I come back to my home daily. because It is some difficult for me to live without family. But May be after some time I must leave my home then it will some difficult to me but the time is very strongest in this world everyone has to follow the time or luck.

You may have to start your journey only hereafter as just now you are about to start your real life. This will make us to move here and there. As we are likely to accept the unstable jobs, this can not be avoided and this job issue may be more in the future in this competitive world. In my life, every thing has happened against my wishes and this is still continuing. I like to stay in my native only. But I am not able to visit very often and it takes at least 2 to 3 months though the distance is just about 500 KM only. Thanks for your response.

I have moved around quite a bit. However, I have never even moved out of the state I was born in. I've lived in 9 different houses since I was born. I eventually want to pack up and move to a bit of a warmer climate, but I'm happy to have all of my family and friends at least in driving distance. I don't know what I'd do without being to see them. I think I should just pack everybody up and take them with me. A couple might put up a fight, but I'd eventually pursuade them =)

Though it is not possible to stay in the exact place of our won, if we are able to live in a place to reach within one or two hours, then there will not be any feel about our place in our mind as you have mentioned. But nowadays, we have to move thousands of KM for our jobs and business and for some of us, it is become impossible to come back to our own land due to many reasons. This will be great wound in our mind for the whole of our life, though if we are not feeling about it right now..Thanks for your response.

As you are too young, you like to move many places and now this is a essential thing to run our life. But when we reach our middle age, the thoughts of our own place will be more and is very common to all. Even if you are staying just 100KM away from your own land, you will like to move there only. Because the safe feeling we are having in our own land is huge. But we can never feel safe in other places even though we have not faced any such problem. Thanks for your response.

Welcome to mylot aa and I feel very happy to see that your first response is to me. As the job opportunities are very few nowadays, we have to run behind it. Otherwise we may not get at all and this makes us to change our place of living very often. But spare some days to visit to your native and meet your friends. This will help you to forget all of your difficulties you are facing in the working environment. Thanks for your response and be active and reach 100 posts soon.

LOL 25 years and im still stuck in my birthplace...LOL..as much as i want to go abroad, its not that easy. unless if im born rich, then its easy to get visa just by showing the pocket money. and even if there are other countries to choose from, countries that doesnt require visa, still, the fare is not something to laugh about. with the on going crisis and the current pay i have right now, its never enough. so here i am. stuck for 25 years..LOL...i just had to accept it. if its meant for me then its meant for me. it sucks really.

Even if you are having the opportunity to fly abroad, your mind will be in your native only within a short period..This might be due to our mind is set to live only in our native..No one like to live in some other place though they are rich and finally they want to come back..If we are having the intention to work hard, that can be earned form our home place itself..Thanks for your response.

As both the places are very nearer to each other, this is same as like our native and we can not see in this much difference..Also every one in the surrounding will be familiar with us. There is no threats on our safety which may be there when we are in some other places. But this blessings will be only to few and most of us used to shift our job or even the place of living..but no place can be compared with our native..Thanks for your response.

i am where i was born, raised, went to school, found my love..had kids. lol And i guess i will be stuck here forever and i do not regret it nor do i hate it as well. i love it here, it may not be as advanced as the other cities, but my place has it certain qualities that i will always love and i know every nook and cranny it has! lol i wont get lost here! It is not a bore either all of my friends and family are here, so it wont be that bad ( am i just consoling myself? lol) But i have been giving this a thought as well, some of my close friends are already abroad, in other big cities working and doing their own jobs..and here i am stuck..but having a family and great job too. so it isnt bad..i love it here and will always love it here. The cost of living is low, the fare is quite ok as well... it may not have big malls like other cities but i do get the time to visit other cities for a change. hehehe but i love it here! period. lol

You are not consoling yourself. This is the actual fact that for every one in this world their own land is like a heaven. Only few of us are are having opportunity to stay there itself for the whole life.Everyone should love their land. Today we are able to hear about the wars everywhere in the world and this is just to have possession over their own land. When our land is occupied by others, we are not able to tolerate this, who much ever our land is lack of resources. All this is because of our love on our own land. Thanks for your response.

I'm currently not in the place where I was born and judging by my life now I won't exactly ever go back because my parents originally moved me here in Houston because of better opportunity. There is better opportunity here and I feel Houston is now my home so I'm guessing I will stay here. Unless life leads me and not my personal decision I will remain in Houston for the rest of life. It's full of life and choices and many other things Beaumont does not have.

YOu have adjusted yourself to the new place and made yourself familiar with that. This is the good habit though it is hard to follow.AS also your parents are with you, you may not find much difficult to live in another place. Even then, your mind will like your birth place and you will have a desire to go there at least in future. Thanks for your response..

I've been born and raised in the same city and county for about 25 years once it hits October. I have traveled outside here but never left this place longer than 1 week. I know... I sound kind of deprived of the "whole world" but I live in a very diverse place. So I usually assume if I see a completely different world I'll still enjoy it and embrace it with fun and joy. I'm a very happy individual. Anyone else never left their home town? I've never flew to a different continent as well too. Anyone never flew out of the US yet?
