Are you comfortable leaving your kids/pets in others care even for a while?

Hi everyone! Many times I have mentioned in my posts that every month I visit my hometown. Some of my friends here too know that I have 2 pets and I love them so much. I treat them as my children. I take care of them just like a real mother and I can say I take care of them wholeheartedly. Every month I need to travel to our hometown and I always feel sad cause I have to leave my pets behind. It always breaks my heart and I really miss them whenever I am away. The maid takes care of them but though I know that my pets are in good hands while I’m gone I still feel uncomfortable leaving them to the maid. Three times in a day I always check on the maid if she has fed and walked the dogs, if they still have water to drink and if she has watched them eat cause’ insects or mice might touch their food. Sometimes I jot down the things that the maid has to remember about the things she has to do with the dogs. My pets are really sensitive that’s why I myself am careful about their health. I have my maid’s cell phone number so I contact her anytime of the day to check on the dogs. I even load credits on the maid’s phone so she can contact me anytime if problems would occur. I know I may sound over acting to other people about how the way I take care of my pets and not that I don’t trust my maid, it’s just that I know no one can take care of my dogs the way I do. What about you guys? Can you trust other people in taking care of your loved ones – be it a pet or your kids? To whom would you leave your kids or pets to take care of them in case you have to go?

A maid is someone that you can fire if they do not take care of your pet right. My friends know that I love pets, and trust me to care for them when they are gone.Someone that you pay for sitting it should have credentials.

Well so far the maid is doing great on taking care of my pets. I always check on my pets whenever I get back home and would ask my brothers if the maid is doing a proper job. They give me good feedbacks! A pet sitter would be great cause they are experts. But sadly there are no such services here in my country. Keep posting!

as long as I trust the person who'll take care of my pet, then why not.as long as s/he is not hurting my baby/ies,then I will leave them to her/him.even if I would like to take my pets, there are times that I can't.I would require that person to be an animal lover.I am putting my trust on her/him,so s/he'll better be a good person.I wouldn't mind having him/her arrested if s/he neglects my pets.
