Is your child/children competitive in nature?

It is advised by many child psychologists that parents should not try to instill competitiveness into the brains and minds of the children. But my feeling is different. It is true that over competitiveness is unbearable for kids. But total lack of competitiveness is also a weakness. Because, the environment is competitive where success in academic career determines the opportunity your child gets in all aspects of life.If your child does not have a killer instinct he always will fail in showing his worth to the society and lag behind and lose confidence. This in turn may lead to unfulfilled aspiration of him or her. This unhappiness will run for his/her life. So, i prefer my child to be competitive. But unfortunately he is not like that. He is not that unhappy at his failure.
