Gang controlled politics in Mexican politcal system

Drug smuggling getting worse in the Mexico - United States border. Current president Feliz Calderon in vow to fight against drug smuggling and cartel gang members. It is getting harder, because majority of Mexican politicans are dirty. They have contacts with the heads of cartels, and in the upcoming elections. The cartel members in an attempt to control the result. Without a revolution, or new system to cleansing the corrupted system, Mexico can never get better in the future. What is your point of view on this?
