I have worked with kids before and noticed that while we want them to share, they usually don't want to and have to be forced to at times. Do you think sharing is a part of human nature?

Sharing is like any other skill children acquire it has to be learn't.It is a wonderful thing when they get the hang of it,they gain so much self confidence by learning how much fun it can be.I used to say to mine be a really nice person and offer your friend a sweet or let him ride your bike for a while. He went along with it as he had pleased me and saw me smile, also the child riding his bike was smiling. The only trouble was it did not always work in his direction ,then you have to teach them tolorence of others. The trouble was some of the parents were as selfish as their kids or was it the other way round.

Maybe he can see nothing worng maybe it should be pointed out he is a bit selfish.Or be the same as him keep a bit back for yourself ,he seems to think you should make everything right for him all the time, maybe he should treat you better,Hope you don't mind me saying this.

Let him know you want a share of the heel and he must share that and other things as well, looks like it is up to you to show him the pleasure of sharing.

most kid that i've known are like them.they tend to have a great love on their possessions and never share. as adults we need to teach them to share.it is also important to stress to them that in sharing we can gain friends too.
