Why Is It So Hard To Find Creative Items With Canadian Flags On Them?

I just ordered an awsome long silkish (not real silk, but you know what I mean) scarf with American stars and stripes all over it which I'm going to wear on the 4th of July, but I need something interesting for Canada Day, and I'm having a hard time finding cool flag items. It seems I can find ANYTHING with the American stars and stripes, but almost nothing with the Canadian maple leaf, and Canadian flag. AARRGGHH!!! i want something like a scarf, or some ribbons to make a bow, or tie up a bouquet of flowers, anything, and I can't find it!!! I went ahead and ordered the American flag scarf off of eBay, but I'm going to have to look around town here for the Canadian flag thing. My husband's American, and I'm Canadian, so we are going to celebrate both holidays. Why is it so hard to find nice Canadian stuff, but so easy to find nice American stuff? Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know where I can find what I'm looking for?

My response to this is two fold. A, you aren't really looking to hard. Most any gift shop in Canada, has all sorts of this stuff. I personally like wal-mart right now, they have a 6 or 12 foot banner, I think I am going to tie to the roof rack of my Caravan. B, Americans are known for their higher level of egotism, I think most of this is fallacy, but with that in mind, it wouldn't be to hard to see why they put their flag on everything. The other thing you could do is, purchase, Patches either sew or Iron on and attach them to what ever item you wish to make into a patriotic symbol. Have a great 1st and fourth of July. Cheers.

Go to the local tourist trap..I am sure you can find some Canadian flag accessories there. Hit Niagara Falls, that is where I would buy my son's hockey patches..the canadian & american flags, we could never find those in the states. Or you can try this website http://shop.cafepress.com/canadian-flag?lq=1&page=1

That is strange - I would think in Canada you would find all kinds of things geared towards Canada. Maybe just us bragging Americans pawning our stuff off where ever we can :) Maybe you could start a new trend - purchase plain scarves and paint them Canadian (of course Made in America would be fine).
