Okay I went to the beach this past satuday. Now I haven't been to the beach in over a year. I dont get out in the sun that often except for daily routines. Well I had some sun stuff on but still managed to get burnt from head to toe. My legs though were the first to heal. The only thing that is hurting me now is my upper back, shoulders and face. I have tried aloe vera, cold shower, white vinegar, shaving cream, and baby oil. Those are some remedies I googled. I was hoping that some of mylotters could give me some remedy tips or advice. I am currently wearing my swimsuit top as a bra because its the only thing that doesn't hurt me as much. Thanks in advance.

I used to use aloe vera when I would get a burn too. You can also try Noxema cream since it has a cooling effect. Another good thing is Sea Breeze (the toner) which my grandfather used to use all the time whenever he would get a sunburn.

I have heard that iodine along with olive oil, vinegar and cider helps but haven't tried it. Another remedy which is suppose to work is strawberries and buttermilk. Mix them together and put on the face as a mask providing you aren't allergic to strawberries. Been many years since I've been in the sun for an extended period of time. Nothing I tried really worked well to stop the hurt. I no longer get in the sun since I've had so much skin cancer as a result. Was in the sun everyday, all day when a kid since we had no air conditioning. Hope you feel better soon, carolbee
