Normally of an evening when its not too hot, or RAINING ...I love to go outback and sit on my swing; It's peaceful, & quiet there is nothing back there but a line of tree's along the fenceline, a little rock creek, spillway, lot of birds and Squirrels to watch and listen to the birds singing; TIS BEAUTIFUL!! It reminds me of my old home when I lived out in the country God I miss that place ( not the sh!thole) I just moved from, BLEH! But I do love to sit out back early of a morning, and late evening...but the darn swing is so soaking wet from all the rain we keep having, in fact I had to put boards under it, the darn thing was sinking in the wet dirt & mud, with my big old butt on it...LOL! No but the boards do keep it from sinking, today's weather once it quit raining would have been perfect to sit outside but oh well... So do you like to sit outside of an evening or morning?? Do you have a swing set or a favorite chair that you sit in and just kick back?? I love the outdoors!!

I love sitting outside in the evenings. I have a porch swing that I sit on. Before we built our porch the swing was on an old swing set frame in the yard and we put a bag of Quickcrete in each hole of the legs. Didn't have any problems with it sinking but you can't move it anywhere else either! We are having the same problem with rain this year which makes me appreciate our porch we finally got built! .

i like to sit outside when its not too hot (or too cold) outside. i do sit outside in my backyard sometimes but more often than not, its inside. i like to go to the beach however and sit outside there, the beach that is sort of near our house has a lot of really nice shade trees, so its a great place to go with a book.

Here's My Swing - and it's right on my porch. I love it!! As long as the wind blows the opposite of the swing, the rain is awesome to see. Now I don't do thunderstorms!! Oh no way!! lol
(Gosh! I'm sooo far behind in everybody's discussions! Sorry!) Like you sweetie, I love to sit in my swing too! It doesn't matter what time of the day as long as it's nice. Mine is on my porch, I'll add a picture for you to see, you can just barely see the outline of it in the little cubby like corner. We live in the country and wouldn't trade country life for any amount of money in the world! City folks don't have a clue to how nice it really is. Even living in a small house or not, it wouldn't matter, country life with the birds, squirrels, raccoons, rabbits, deer just to name a very few! It's nature showing the best show in the world! Am I nuts?! LOL Naaaa, just telling how life in the country means to me!! lol

Nope you're not nuts at all...thanks for showing me your picture...it soooo nice, nice enough for me to just park my big old butt out there on it...LOL!! thanks again and take care! GREAT PIC!!

Good day... Staying at the lawn (outdoors) specially in a farm is very relaxing and invigorating. I once lived in a suburb with a still developing land area. There was a creek and well lot of trees and flowers. I used to go out in the morning where I could still smell the dew and enjoy the start of a new and beautiful day. I sometimes catch fish and just waiting and enjoying the surrounding is something of God's gift for us.

It sounds heavenly, Jan. I used to love sitting outside on sunny days and read or just people watch. The neighborhood I live in right now isn't all that great. Not that it's dangerous, just depressing, so I don't sit out as much as I used to. Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Hi dear friend: Oh I understand what you are saying, been there done that, I hated as you know my last place of residence and even though I'm still in town, and still living under the housing authority units blah blah blah, this place is WAY WAY NICER so far at least my view on the west side is facing a tree lined fence, with an acre of land between me and the railroad track ( NO RESIDENTS) YEAH BABY!! ITS NICE TOO!! I just pray it stays that way until Iget out of here if I ever get out of here.. I hope your place gets better or you are able to move to a better place; You know when we have to live in an area that is just damn depressing its very hard on us its hard on us mentally, physically and emotionally...it SUCKS!! take care dear friend and give Mija a hug from me

I could just spend all day in a Gazebo so long as its not tooooo hot or muggy outside (G)! I'm such a "puss" health wise but You enjoy yours; and I do hope you get to feeling better soon ok??

i do enjoy being outside as long as it is not too hot or too cold. i much prefer cooler weather to hot weather any day of the week and i do not like when it is too sunny. i am very sesitive to heat and i cannot be in the sun for very long. but beiing outside is good to keep you from feeling cooped up or depressed.

HI there: hey chairs outside are great too, anything to sit on and be comfortable just to have our own little "me time" you know? Its been terribly hot and humid the last several days and I miss not being able to go outside and just enjoy my swing and the peace and quiet; I hope this doesn't mean our Summer is going to be in the blazing 90's & 100's from now til fall...that will really be awful!! Enjoy your time if you can outside, My front door yesterday was so blasted hot it nearly scorched my skin on my leg as I entered the house..OUCH!!! Now that's hot!

I have a patio at the side of my house and I love to go there and sit. I do not have a swing but I can imagine how pleasant that must feel. Beyound my garden is a common area which is really open to everyone but it is full of trees and plants and looks so tropical and wild. I love it. Especially to hear the parrots and other birds calling at dusk before they settle in their nests. I love to sit out here in the evenings before the twins go to bed and this is a great place for them to look at the moon and stars and chat. It really is a de stresser. Fabulous post, Jan.

HI there: Yes its wonderful that thankfully they do allow us to have swings and other outdoor furniture at our units, it makes all more "your own" you know? I'm very grateful that they do allow this; We can also plant flowers, in the ground, tomatoes, and other things like that too, bushes, tree's if we wish; This section of housing, is much nicer and more peaceful and "clean" than the last section I was in, it was awful!!! thank you for stopping by and Welcome to Mylot!!

i will rather have a stroll around the area and see what is happening in other streets, sometimes i will prefer to stay outside and watch things as well, what i do is sit on the low fence or lean back on the fence and watch as things go on, sometimes i may just pick up my cameras and snap pictures of people without them knowing

Hi Tundeemma: OH I bet you've had some interesting shots of people while out walking? I prefer to just be by myself while outside, it settles me down, sometimes I like company too a friend or maybe one of the neighborhood kids will stop by; But mostly I enjoy it just to be by myself... I love to listen to the birds and watch the squirrels; thanks for stopping by and enjoy your walks and taking your photo's who knows someday one of your photo's might wind up on a magazine or something right?

I don't have our own swing inside our house but when I was young I used to play in the play ground beside the church. This experience has been very relaxing and enjoying. I wish I could do it again even if I am a little bit old for that. I love outdoors especially with all those fresh air and cool breeze of air.

Staying outdoor meditating is a nice way to unwind. It helps remove stress and makes me remember of the good things in my life. But sometimes when I am so alone in a very silent and gloomy place, I feel that I am far behind anything. Im starting to get anxious, not to know what would happen next.. on what will I become if that gloomy atmosphere is forever, if no one is gonna help me out from that place. anyway, its good that you're having fun with your swing. very nice, i remember my childhood and ignorance.

The swing looks perfect for ‘soaking’ in the view…BTW, who occupies the other seat? Yes, I do love sitting and watching the view but I don’t have a lawn, its only a tiny balcony on the second floor and I have a chair which just fits into the narrow space. There is a wide expanse just opposite our house with huge trees…right now there are quite a few bird’s nest up there and time just flies by when I sit and watch the birds coming and going…oh, they look so busy all day! And the cool breeze is also such a relief in this summer heat, esp in the evening times.

Hello sudiptacallingu: LOL! no body sits in the seat beside me, maybe an occasional neighbor or kid, when I lived out in the country it was two of my cats that loved to be on the swing with me (G)! My two big dogs have tried but they are just WAY too big... My cat sits in my bedroom window here and watches me while I sing, she doesn't come outside ever..Poor kitty It sounds like you have a good place to soak up some of nature and to enjoy the breeze and the birds; that's the main thing enjoying what we can each day of Nature, I also have a pair of Cardinals I enjoy watching them feed their piggish (3) babies, Lord they eat all the time, they are getting used to me and are getting closer and closer as I put out bread for them and their favorite bird seeds, sunflower seeds..LOL! speaking of which I need to get up off my butt go outside and refill their container, they all eat like a bunch of hogs I swear they do;

Hey girl! I loved being outside up in Cape Cod! It was so cool, so incredibly not hot. I just loved it. As soon as I can organize the photos, I'll be sending them along for all to see. I'd love to have a porch swing (or equivalent). I love the swinging motion, including gliders. I just love the sensation. It's great.

hey Kathy: You busy woman you, you need to slow down a bit then and enjoy your swing Mine is getting very old and the cushions are ripping up and the awning on top has tears in it from the wind all these years, I take that part off in the wintertime but the summer storms sure do wreak havoc on it; so slow down enjoy the outdoors more when you can (G)! take care now I know you enjoy the EASI place right?

Hi Jan! Yes, I do enjoy it out at EASI. We've been getting together every Tuesday for the last four weeks. We're taking a break this week, though. It's a good thing because it's been so hot! We meet for about four weeks and then we break for one or two weeks. We didn't meet at all back in the winter because it was so cold. The other girl who is on the drill team and I were each given a diagram to go by and we were told to walk through the drill, if you know what I mean, since neither one of us has a horse we can practice on right now. I wait till after 6:00 before I go outside and practice mine. Kathy.

I like outdoors too. When i was a small kid we live in a house with lots of open spaces to run around. There was this garden where me and my sister always play doll and stuffs. We only return back to our house when mom call us to come inside for the 100th time. During summer, dad would bring out a huge mat and we would sit there with the neighbor's kid, playing or staring at the night sky, while the elders discuss their lazy , never ending talks. I missed those days. Now we've moved to a building with no garden and it really sucks sometime. It's not that bad but still i'll trade it any day for that old place full of greenery around..
