When Was The Last Time You Went To The Doctor?

United States

I haven't been to see a doctor in a few months. That was until today. I had been having and upset stomach and headaches and I also told him about some pain that I've been having in my lower stomach. He told me that my upset stomach and headaches were just a virus going around. But he said the pain in my stomach he thought was coming from a pinched nerve in my back. He just told me to take Aleve, 2 in the morning and 2 at night for a week and see if it helped and if not then I will have to do physical therapy. That's enough about me and my doctor's office visit. How about you? When was the last time you went to the doctor and what was it for?

Boo, never mind me............please, please, see another doctor. I don't want to alarm you, but these are the same symptoms our dear Bella had, and I am so afraid for you! PLEASE get another opinion and ask about whether it could be a perforated bowl. PLEASE!

I do have to visit my doctor regularly to check my blood pressure, and get his advice about that. I also make sure that I see him before going on trips abroad, so I can have all the necessary medicines to take along.

That is great that you do see your doctor regularly. I know many people who should and they refuse to.

The last time I went to the regular doctor was about 4 years ago. I did go see my female doctor a few times recently though. Heck I called him when I needed some pills for my UTI last week. It has been so long since I have seen a doctor I don't really have a regular one anymore. I hope the Aleve helps with the pain in your stomach. It could be nothing, it could be a pinched nerve, it could be a hernia, it could be a female type thing. Whatever you do, don't let him make it seem like nothing if you think it is.

Yes, I know what you mean about not having a regular doctor. Every year it seems as if my employer switches to a new insurance company and the doctor I was seeing isn't one on their insurance so I have to switch. This was actually the first time I have seen the doctor that I seen today because of the new insurance that I have. He seemed really nice. Yes, it could be a number of things, I'm going to try this Aleve and see how it does, if it doesn't help then I will definitely be calling him back or finding another doctor and see what he has to say.

I went to the hospital Sunday night to the emergency room because I sewed my left index finger with the sewing machine. I don't know how it happened, it just happened so quickly. The needle went all the way through my finger and came out the other side, need and thread both. I was able to stay calm enough that I used the wheel on the side of the machine to raise the needle and luckily it came out. I got a tetanus shot because I had not had one in over 30 years. I am fine now. Taking antibiotics and pain pills if needed. I hope you get to feeling better.

Oh Man! I know that had to hurt! I'm glad you didn't panic. I'm not sure how I would have reacted to something like that happening! I hope your finger heals up quickly!

hmm good question? I think my last time I went to a doctor was my Physical check up to work abroad!! and that was a year ago hmm. Hmm even though I have a medical card here in UAE I still wasnt able to use it even once, may be I am afraid of needles hehe!! Coz every time you went for check up here they will give you a flu shot even though you didnt ask for it:) and I hate it!

My last appointment was on Monday and needless to say it was a good visit but also very informatiove. My fiance and I are trying to have a baby and I know that I can't get pregnant due to infertility so we discussed our options and are slowly getting into the swing of things that the doctor told us. So it's one step at a time for us right now. I hope that it's nothing major on your back. I do have a back injury and know way to well all the struggles that one has with back problems.

The last time I went to see a doctor was 3 days ago.I went there to check up my back incase it was injured but it was okay but with minor injury on it.I was kind of scared at first because i was thinking of the needles that he is going to have fun pushing it deep inside of me when he needs to do some operation and surgery but thank goodness, there was no need for any surgery. I was actually traumatized by a doctor when i was young. He was the doctor in charge of my operation,he was suppose to fix my leg back to normal and then during the operation time he accidentally pushed the needle too fast while injecting some vachine into me.So deep that it hit my bones and i feel an electric chill running through me...

I don't usually go to the doctor, but my husband made me go just yesterday. It sounds like you and I are feeling about the same now days. My doctor said it might be swine flu, but not to worry it was mild and on its way out. He told me to go home to bed and drink plenty of fluids... this is the reason I never go to the doctor. Please... I know to go to bed when I'm sick. On top of that he told me I may have swine flu, which scared me.... I have a little boy at home and that is the LAST thing I need, is to have him exposed to the swine flu. yesterday when my son woke up with a fever I rushed him to the hospital to see if he had swine flu. He doesn't, its probably just another of his 5000 ear infections. Oh well. Go to bed and drink plenty of fluids. As Naproxin is the generic form of aleve. It may save you a few bucks. Hope you get feeling better.

I was there yesterday. Cancer checkup, ok. Cholesterol and other blood tests, ok. Blood pressure a little high. Have lost another 1.2 kilos since last visit. last time it was around 3 so I have lost about 10 pounds. I really do not keep track as it goes up and down within a range. I mentioned though, the weight loss was probably all brain cells because I cannot remember things like I used to.

The last time I went to the doctor was last year, around July 2008. I never really want to go to the doctor because as we all know, professional fees are high. I went to a dermatologist because I lost almost 80% of my hair. I had my blood tested and was all normal. It all pointed down to my being irresponsible in dyeing my hair. Glad that it came back now. It still falls once in a while, though not as much as last year. Thank God... I would still want to have thick hair.

I went to a doctor a few weeks ago to get a referral to an OBGYN. It was the first time in about 6 months. I have been open to seeing doctors more now than in my twenties though. There was a time I hadn't seen a doctor in over 5 years and it was very difficult to find a doctor that would take me on. But I do have a clinic now that are pretty good to me.

Well just about a week ago I went to a doctor. A dermatologist. I have a problem with my skin. I seem to have an allergy and I do not expose myself under the sun since it will cause to much irritation. My doctor prescribed a lotion for treatment and I have to use it for a month. From there, I will go back to the doctor again.

I hate hospitals and doctors but i know sometimes i need to visit them. Dentist i visit them every month but doctors as much as possible if i can avoid it, i will. But i had an accident last 3 weeks ago and i have to be brought to hospital for check up and xray. During that time, i was thinking what if they found out something is wrong with, like tumor or anything when they doing the xray, what will i do. But thank God everything is ok. Nothing to worry about.

I prefer to treat myself at home if I can. I also don't have medical insurance right now though, so that's a factor. I haven't been to the doctor is almost 3 years. It was for a sinus infection turned to bronchitis. I had a bleeding throat and it was absolutely disgusting. My doctor looked in and said ewww damn. He's a halerious guy. A shot of cortisone and antibiotics was the best feeling in the world at that moment. I'd been sick for 3 weeks before I went in.

A month ago I visited my doctor for a series of test and I she found out that I have a urinary tract infection. She advice me not to eat junk food and to be clean always, wash the gen*tals everytime I pee. She gave me antibiotics and suggest me to drink a lot of water to secrete the bacteria as I pee.
