Hi everyone. My system has been effected by the trojan for some time now. It came to me form one of me neighbors pen-drive and now it is not leaving the system at all. I have tried almost everything that I know but can't remove it. It basically resides in c:\windows\system.bat file. Because of some of the registry entries that it has created, it gets started as soon as the window starts. Though avira can detect it but it is not been able to remove it from my system. If you know how to get rid of this irritating bat/shutdown.ab.30, then please help me out.

you might try the trend micro housecall website.the scanner's on their server,so it may not be able to get away from it. if not,i would try to install a virus scanner that will scan as soon as you start the computer before it goes into windows.it's probably hiding in your registry and will keep adding itself back in otherwise. also, you could buy a rescue disk you can put in a cd drive.stick it in,shut down the computer, and start it up again.
