There are so many free editions of antivirus available online to be chosen from and download is absolutely free. Do you ever download a free version or buy from the market! These are free for a month or so, after which you have to download again or buy?

Yeah sometimes. Just to try out what the AV has to offer. But sometimes you have to be careful because they could be spyware for all we know. Just download those from which you trust the source.

The amount of competition that is taking place in the virtual world is mind blowing. From the smallest of all things to the biggest, they is not even a single brand or product thats alone in its market. Anti-virus softwares keep coming and coming better and harder each year. Amongst these its so hard to choose which one suits us. Some provide die-hard protection at the cost of ram space others take up time etc. I prefer to use Quick Heal as it normally performs the scanning as good as any other anti-virus software. But its speciality and knock-out punch feature is the Boot-time scan wherein it scans the system before loading the explorer, or you can say that it scans the PC at booting time! This eliminates all possibilities of any virus in the whole wide world to take over your PC again if you restart. Your PC will be as clean as it can ever be. Thanks to Quick Heal and the best part, its free!

yes I do........ I have used AVG free and it seems good but I like AVAST better. I use avast free in the office and update it. It works best for me. Sometimes I take the trial version... and then download another antivirus and use their free trial period.

No, I just don't trust the protection it gives me, I would rather get a retail purchased AV instead if I had the chance.
