Do you think detoxing is really necessary?

I have been reading about all of these different cleanses out there. Colon Cleanse. Kidney Cleanse and so on. Are they really necessary? I wonder if they are. What about you, do you use these detox or colon or liver cleanse. I have used some detox foot pads once. The kind that you stick on the bottom of your feet. But, are they really necessary or can the body cleanse itself?

I think it's a good idea to do a detox once in awhile. Our bodies are designed to cleanse themselves, but we live in a toxic world and they can become overwhelmed with having to move so much out of our systems. A detox allows our bodies to catch up and recover from that. In a better world, detoxing wouldn't be necessary, but when even our water supply is contaminated with chemicals, medicines and other pollutants, then, yes, I think it is necessary for good health.

I believe the body can detoxify itself with the aid of the foods we eat. By eating more of vegetable and fruits that are high in fiber and by drinking plenty of water and avoiding junks and unhealthy food we can have very clean colon and will give our kidney a good rest.

Thank you for your response, salonga. I agree with you. I have used a detox patch on my feet, because it was a free product that I received. I guess it worked okay. I have not purchased any for my own use. Have a great weekend. Happy MyLotting
