Do you have anything in your hand but look aroud for it?

In sometimes,I am holding anything in my hand,but in looking for it everywhere,that is,can not remember where it is...it is often noted that the final will be around in search of original articles in fact in myself hands.Do you have such experiences?

Lol, it happens to me most of the times and its because of being absent minded!!
We tend to forget searching the thing in our own hands and keep looking around !!
Yesterday, I kept my cell phone in back pocket of my jeans and forgot. Later on, I searched for it everywhere in my room, and then I called on my phone and found it in my pocket. lol.

I have absolutly done this and I probably do this atleast once a week! *LOL* Lately I've been tucking my keys into my waistband instead of hanging them from the lanyard around my neck and I'm searching for them and searching only to have my 6yo point out they were physically on me the whole time...

LOL i hear ya! With me it was not in my hands though. One day I looked and looked and looked around for them and couldn't find them and realized I was wearing them - my eyeglasses. hahaha It happened cause I usually switched my rx sunglasses and eyeglasses as needed...i lost my mind for like 2 min. lol

I had been in that situation before but it was not on my hand but on my head. I was looking for my glasses on time. I have searched everywhere but failed .
I have asked my sisters too if they have seen it. But then my mother interrupted and asked me what I was looking for. When I told her what it was, she said it looks like it was on my head. And yes, there it was, on my head.
