Hard to believe my "baby" is so grown up. Where does the time go. I remember when she was just a baby staring at the world with the most incredible huge brown eyes I had ever seen. Toddler years found her walking instead of crawling. She talked in full sentences well before the age of two. At a young age she not only questioned everything but was always prepared to give advice. Her school years were met with much success. She always ranked among the top of her class. This was one dedicated student who never had to be reminded that her homework had to be done. Parent/teacher meetings were always filled with praise from her teachers. They often remarked they wished everyone was like her. Math and Science became her favorite subjects which has led her into a decision to enter the medical profession as an emergency room doctor. She has many years of school ahead of her but I have no doubt she will do well. It rained the night of the Graduation ceremony but it did not dampen anyone's spirits. Out of 650 students she placed 127 in rank. Not shabby at all. When I watched her walk across the stage I felt my heart swell with pride. My eyes welled up with tears and I did not see my baby anymore. In her place was the beautiful young lady my daughter has become.
