How do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I've been asked this question many times during a job interview. It's obviously aimed at knowing the applicant's plans, ambitions, career path maybe. But come to think of it, this question is not only applicable to jobseekers, this is actually a valid question for all of us. So, how will you answer this question? As for me, I'd like to see my future as something bright, so five years from now I see myself as an entrepreneur operating a business and providing jobs. Also, by that time I would have gained a post-grad degree, and acquired my dream house. What about you, who and where will you be 5 years from now?

I have set a target for myself, something like a 5 years planning like every big corporate company does. 5 years from now I would be 35 years old and I would like to have a wonderful family of my own. Besides that same as yourself, I would like to see myself a new venture of own business be it online or just a small shop. I would also like to see myself gaining some leadership role in community roles in charity, old folks, orphanage and saving the environment. Most importantly, in 5 years down the road I would like to still have all my beloved family and friends still with me, living happily and healthily. Of course I would be also like to be 5 times wealthier, happier and healthier than what I am now.

Hi,You have there a great plan for yourself in the next five years. Planning our life ahead not only keeps us focused and allows us to check if we're right on target, it also helps us to adjust to some situations when things go out of hand. Ultimately, the end-result of all these planning is a better life, and a better future. Way to go, currykai!

hi doryvien! five years from now, i am already 33 by then and i hope that i am already have a child by that time... still staying in the house, taking care of my husband and our child to be, still a beautiful and supportive wife to my husband and still a good daughter to my parents and good sister to my brother... as you can see, i don't see much of me as a career woman because that's really how's life for me...i already gave up my career for my husband and so all i want to be now in the future is to be the best wife and mother as i can be... and hopefully, five years from now, this site mylot is still existing and i am still active doing things here! have a nice day!

Well being a full time wife and mother(soon) is not an easy task, and I salute you for choosing to be one. I also want to be a stay-at-home wife and mother, but we cannot afford it yet. Maybe I should include it in my list of who I want to be in five years' time.

5 years would be to short because time just slip away so fast... Well, i see myself that i have finish my study and have a stable job..And finally i got married, aww i cant wait to meet that moment.

You're right, 5 years is short and time flies so fast. But it's good to know that you already have an idea of who you will be 5 years from now. It's only a matter of time and if you work towards achieving them, there's no reason you can't reach them. Happy myLotting!
