I was playing football in a park and hit an old lady with the ball. She was walking near the park talking to someone on the phone....it hit her real hard right on the face......her mobile fell and broke.....so as to save ourselves from paying the price of the mobile.......we all ran away without bothering about the lady's condition.........should i go and check??

No, she's an old lady, if you hit an old lady in the face, break her phone, and run away from her, it's not the best decision to go back unless you want to get in trouble. This is probably a fake story anyway :p but that's not my business.

Only kids run away if they make a silly like this. A mature person, go there and aplogise, and try to help if is necessary. To assume responsability in everything what you do is a mature gesture. When i were kid i can ay, that if i make a mistake maybe i will run, but now, i assume all my mistakes.

Harsh- Keep in mind that in the eyes of the law you are an adult, legally responsible as an adult. Namaste-Anora

If you are feeling guilty there is no choice but to go back there and check the old lady's situation. If you keep doing the running thing after doing something not good, you will ran all over your life. Atleast now it will change if you go back and there and check her. If she is not there when you got there, then destiny did not permit it to happened, I mean the apologize thing.

Past is past. What is done cannot be undone.Returning to the scene now will worsen the situation. You should have responsible to care for her when that event happens. Now it is too late and she could have taken care of herself.Let your guilty keep you from not repeating things like this in the future.Cheers!

Harsh- Of course you should check on her if you know her and can find her. You should have checked on her the moment you hit her. Chances are if you had apologized up front she would have dismissed the fees of the cell phone, though it would have been very nice of you and your friends to have taken responsibility and chipped in for a new cell phone. I mean, if you hit her hard enough in the right location you could have done serious damage. Even minor head concussions can be serious if not treated, though I am sure she would have had herself checked out. I would suggest in the future that you start taking personal accountability for your actions, and start showing a bit more compassion. I know there is a great fear in being in trouble, but the responsible adult takes accountability for their actions right or wrong and accepts the consquences of those actions. Namaste-Anora

it would have been appropriate that you apologize to the lady.be a man and help her stand up.I think that if you apologized sincerely and asked for her condition, she will not ask you to pay up for her broken phone.it was an accident, and it is inevitable that something might break.if she did ask for you to pay for her phone, you and your friends could have just pooled your money together.

That is terrible! You should definitely try and find out about her and see if you can apologise!
