What is the best Italian city for a tourist?

There are so many to choose from each with their own positives and negatives. I'm sure most people will say it's difficult to beat Rome, but Venice and Florence are romantic in their own right. Naples has Iskea and Capri and Sorrento nearby. Pisa is close to Tuscany, Bologna is arguably the culinary capital of Italy and the coastline alone by Genoa can be stunning. Which one do you like best?

I love the Amalfi Coast of Italy the best. Those quaint cliffside towns are amazing! Positano is definitely a great vacation destination, especially for honeymooners. Bring comfortable shoes since you will be going up and down stairs to get anywhere since he towns were built into the cliffs. From here you can do side trips to Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii.

That is a very hard question, because I think that there are so many interesting and beautiful places in Italy Rome and Venice are very famous, and I like both places, but I think that some of the smaller placer are interesting, too. I have lived in Italy twice. The first time I lived in Ravenna, and the second time I lived in Bologna. I like Ravenna the most, and I will never forget the time I spent there. I also like Lucca and Pisa very much. I had a friend from a small town close to Lucca (Borgo a Mozzano) and I really like that place, it was very beautiful.
