Do you prfer to tan in a tanning bed or lie out

I was just thinking to myself that i dont go to pool that often and lay out , when i was a teenager i would lie out now i just go to the tanning bed a ouple of times a week. How about yo would you rather tan outside or in a tanning bed ?
