MMMMMM.... My house smells so good right now! Yesterday I was going to take a banana for lunch but when I picked it up it was a bit over-ripe. Which means it's time to make banana bread!!! I had to go to the store to night and get a couple of the ingredients, but I have 3 wonderlicous loaves of banana bread cooling right now. Oh, they smell so good! I can't wait to put the icing on them and cut them up. I'll have some for breakfast. Most of them are going to my friends wedding on Saturday! Do you find you have to make something quick when you've got fruits going bad?

I try to. If the bananas are going bad and I have some time I will make some banana bread. Or make zuchini bread and put a little mashed banana in it. I usually buy zuchinis just for making the bread. I like to eat it too, but only my youngest child and I like it. The rest of my family does not like it, but they will eat it in banana bread.

I had zuchini bread for the first time ever last year and it's great! I was hoping to get enough zuchini out of my garden, but I don't think that's going to happen. We like to sautee them in olive oil with a bit of garlic, red onions and tomato.

Can I have a bite? It sounds so good. The neighbor girls came over tonight with three cupcakes with white frosting a cherry on top. They are to pretty to eat. I do love my neighbors they help keep me fat. heehee

hahahahha!!! Last night when I "tested" the bread my husband looked at me and says "I thought that was for the wedding?!" I made 3 loaves, one was intended to stay here!

I do like to do that. How did you make three loaves with one ripe banana, though? I put about three bananas to a loaf. I am going to have to experiment and see about putting banana in my cottage cheese bread.

I had 3 bananas left and each loaf calls for one banana. I had a couple slices tonight - just to taste it - and they are good!!!

I'll make banana bread for my mom or sisters or my boyfriend when the fruits are more ripe than i like to eat them (or i toss them in the freezer peeled in a zip lock bag til i have time to) But i honestly take the stuff over to my mom's to make it because i cant stand the smell of cooking bananas!

That is too funny! I love the smell of the banana bread cooking. I like the smell of almost anything cooking though. That means there will be something edible soon :)

I'm like that with watermelon flavored stuff. Real watermelon I'm ok with, but watermelon candy or gum will make me sick if I even smell it.
