I think the key to being happy is not wanting more than you can reasonably attain. Some people won't be happy unless they have bigger, better, faster, .. more money, bigger house. I don't think chasing after 'more' lends itself towards being happy. Just a personal point of view.

I don't see your dreams as small..some are just satisfied with little things while others dream big and sometimes never have those dreams come true..who do you think will be happier..those who have dreams like yours or those always chasing what might be impossible?

These are the essentials of life and luckily you have got it.It's for these things many people are striving for.By gods grace you have got a treasurable life ,preserve it.My life dreams are also simpler like yours,and my daily prayers to god are to give these simple happiness throughout my life. when we get something without much struggle ,we do not realise its value ,and feel bored.This is human nature.

My hopes and dreams are fairly small also. They are attainable too. I just want the simple things in life also and want my family to be happy. Things like that makes me happy also.

Hello ersmommy. I find that it is hard for me to have everything that I want though quite a few of them have come true in my life. When one need is met, I start to chase another one, which is a never-unending task I will chase. It is out of this that I am trying to make every success that I can in my life...I have still many dreams waiting for me to realize...

That's great - you have what you want out of life, now it's just a matter of enjoying it. I don't think your dreams are simple - I think your dreams are realistic. I do think that you should have other personal goals - to keep your life from being mundane. My dreams - man oh man. I'm a Civil Engineer - I've gotten my Engineer-In-Training license, now I need to get a Professional Engineer (PE) License. So one of my goals in life is to passed that damn PE. I've heard some horror stories about the PE. So I'll start tackling that soon. As soon as I raise enough money to buy the review book/materials. Feb 2010 is when the application is due. Then I wanna go back to school for my master's degree -in civil engineering with emphasis on water/wastewater, hydraulics, and hydrology. I do wanna get married eventually, and have kids (preferably before I'm 30).

I know what you mean i have very simple needs and so i find myself very content in my day to day life. My sister and me in so many ways we are different she has always wanted the American dream you know always the big expensive house the fancy cars too many feed into the idea if they have more expensive more luxerious then it is better where as me I live very comfortable life I am going to buy my first house I am not looking for anything great something I can make into mine my van I bought from my sister for 700 and this was almost 3 years ago and runs like a dream never troubles but from the outside major rust but for me I perfer it it is dependable I owe nothing on it so it is mine free and clear as the others she has gotten since are down more than it way more but they look better so in her eyes it is better For the longest time I tried to find the meaning of life what we are put here what was my purpose for me it was so simple just to be the best mom I can be I have had to stay at home many years to take care of my kids for a while I had a problem with this now I see it as a blessing it has to do with the way you look at things no matter what you decide is your mission in life as long as you are happy doing it and look at the situation correct one can be happy and content but on the other side if you spend all the time thinking the grass is always greener on the other side you may never see the true colors of what you already have
