For how many years have you known your closest friends?

My closest friend and I have been friends since we were 11, and now we're 57 year old grandmas. She's more like a sister than a friend, and we've been through a lot together. I live in Spain and she lives in England, but we make the effort to meet up 3 or 4 times a year. We're spending a week with her family at the moment. We seem to have an almost telepathic ability that we each know when the other one needs a call, and often I've known it was Helen on the phone before I even picked it up. She's a true friend and I hope we grow very old together.

some of my closest friends are really close' to me because we were with each other since kindergarten...(until high school!), so we have a great foundation and i love them very much. my closest friend is Myself. i know myself since 1967. any interesting experience - i know him very well. and he is very unpredictable character. and very peculiar. I am always near to Myself. Hmmm... I cant stay away from him. He is closer to me than my shadow. And there is no way I can miss Myself. Can I?

yes, i totally agree with you. i can say that in every environment that i've been to, i do always make some good friends with a person that i treat as my best friend. As of today, i have five friends that i consider my real close friends. four out of five are girls and there is my long time best friend guy who lives back in ph. We still get along as much as we can but due to distant relationship, we seldom hang out but we still do find some time to keep in touch.

I have best friends and I have a friend, the best among the best. Since 2008 not too early right, her name is Dina. She helps me to acquire a new life. Only for about a months since we've met but she had a big contribution in my life's success. She is kind and trustworthy. Sometimes we are on arguments and discussion of some particular things but we see to it that the would that end without our reconciliation and acceptance of each apology! Thank you! hmm yes i miss my best friend so much. i think no one can take her place in my heart ever. our last meeting was 5yrs back wen i was in class 7th after that i shifted to gurgaon. i miss her a lot everytime .i hope we ever meet again. let see please god mujhe meri best friend se mil wado otherwise u come on earth as my best friend. lets hope for the best!

I have two longest friends. one of them started from secondary one, the other one started from secondary three. Both were my classmates.

I have known one of my closest friends since I was in sixth grade.we live in the same neighborhood.she used to hang out with this other girl and I don't really like her.but when we decided to get to know each other,we developed this great friendship that lasted thru the years,no matter how seldom we see each other.

I met my closest friend back in grade school, when I was in grade 4. That was about 32 years ago. We were classmates and neighbors at the same time, so we were playmates as well. We were classmates in high school but we went to different universities. Now we're both married and live in different areas - she stayed in my hometown and I now live in the city, but we still manage to get in touch thru the phone, the net, and whenever possible, personal visits. We make an effort to see each other every once in a while.

i have three closest friend, 2 are male and 1 female. we know each other when we still in senior high school, that's about 15 years ago.. we are not in same town again today but this day, it's not a problem anymore. every one of them have a unique stories and memories with me.. i will happily tell and share with you and others here, but it will take a very-very long stories.. but i'll tell you some, one of them, name is Iqball, is the closest to me, he ever get mentally sickness, like schizophrenia or some, lot of our friend decide to leave and go away from him. but for me, he is still the same person, okay something wrong with him, but there is no different for me. i still ask him to go around, listen to what he said, accompany him when he looks really sad and tell him some little joke, some like what friend do each others. he is ok now, i mean back to normal. he ever ask me once why i still come to his house be friend eith him that time when anybody else just go and leave him? i can't answer his question... surely, i don't know why..

I'm gratefull i have a lot of them, there are groups of them, some of the groups didn't know each other or do not have any connection. It happen because i've been to many places, and consistenly returning. But there only a group that have been together more than 20 years, i'm 35 now. We live in different places, work in different places, but we consistenly seeing each other once or few times in week. We have built a small community in some short of head quarter, maybe that's one reason why we can always and keeping the connection. Some of us may have 'disappear' for some years, but we always knew where to go and where to find our 'familia'. Recently, thanks to satellite and internet, i have manage to gather and built some sort of headquarter again on internet for my other long lost group of bestfriends.

My best friends are individuals whom i have schooled and grown thru the adolescence years. We still do keep in touch and even till today there is a genuine feeling of being there for one another. Some of us lost jobs during this recession and i am on top of the list- i had lost my job 10 months ago and have been without a job to this day despite the endless search. During this time my savings took a big hit and it was one of my childhood friend who gave a helping hand and that is how i have been able to sustain myself. He is much more than a friend or a family friend..no words to describe

i have known my friend at childhood i say about 9 years old we care a lot for each othe r and he is married now but thats just a new friendship created. iam 36 now

My best friend and I met about 30 years ago when our kids were young and we were neighbors. We have remained best friends every since, even though I've moved several times...sometimes, like now...very far away. When we lived close to each other we used to go out to lunch at our favorite Chinese Buffet and eat until we were stuffed. Sometimes I would take my youngest daughter and she & my friend like the chicken on the little sticks so they nicknamed each other "Chicky".

I have 2 best friends that I have known for 13 years, 2 have one best friend that I have known for 15 years and 1 that I have known for 19 years! I love them all dearly and would do anything in the world I could for them. They are my family!

I think,I don't need long time to know about my friend.Because I choose her/him to be my best friend after I know how personality they are.Usually,we have compatibility as friend without made terms with them.I and my best friend live in different city and we were married.but we always keep contact and we call each other when we need opinion or advice.

I have known my best friend for 4 years now though i knew her as a best friend from only 2 years back. Our group consists of six members and we all are supposed to be best of friends but even in this circle she is the closest to me, like best of best friends. Its so strange that the common things between us are soo little and still our talks are endless and the bond is strong. Its like she can understand me as well as i can understand her. Our friendship and closeness can't be described in words. And yes i have had lots of interesting experience and adventures with her. Only few months back we decided to go watch the "machhindra nath jatra". We always trailed the charriot but was never able to hold on till the end. Last year we had vowed to complete the journey so we set out this year, being pushed form here to there and form there to here in the crowed. Lots of people stared at us, probably because they thought we were only girls but we were determined. ....................... Ah the story is too long but it was certainly something worth writing about, u know as the stories for papers? I always wanted to be a writer. May be this adventure will come out as a short story someday. *_* And yes we still see each other quite often. But its still very less. Its not like in school days when we could meet everyday. We mostly meet hen we have to go to the library since we go together. Books are one of the few strings that tie us together and i dread, sometimes, that these few strings may break and i'll have to miss her dreadfully. Allready we see eachother too less. She is one of the reason i miss school soo much.
