Do u fear from insects?

Hi! I am 17 year old boy but i am still afraid of insects like cockroaches,dragon flies, butterflies etc. and mostly flying insects. Being 17 year guy I feel shame to say this that i fear from insects. When i was a kid i don;t used to fear at all and i used to catch them.
Yesterday night, a dragon fly entered my room from window and it kept striking at my tube light. This didn't not make me sleep at night upto 1 am. I let all my window open and tried to make it out but can't. After some time even i fear I took a towel and trapped in it and threw it in other room with towel. I see some girls screaming at insects. But I don't scream seeing them and pretend i am not afraid. One thing is I can't kill them too except mosquito and housefly....lol. When I catch an insect it makes my whole body shake.
Do insects fear u too?
Do u feel the same?
Is there way to be free from such fear?

yah i hate bugs too..
but not like runnning ones..
rather killing ones twos and thousands...it goes on
its not right thing to kill insects or animals...
but duhhh since i heard that in a week a mosquito gives birth to 800 other mosquitoes..
so whats the loss of killing one or two when there are so many borning every week..lol.hey just killled three of them sweett...lol.
i also hate these house flies especially when im trying to concentrate they start buzzing around our ears...it just makes me grow angrier sec by sec and atlast i start hitting them with anythinng i find....
soo i kinda have fun killing bugs...

hi
i only fear fat stomach spiders, yuck they are ugly and i don't want them anywhere near me... lol
to me there is nothing much ugly than those spiders.
you really hate insects, i think you should have a house lizard around.... lol, kidding, my apologies.
well you should realize not all insects harm you and that should make you feel better, like dragonflies don't do anything.
my friend says he imagines spiders like robots and is not scared of it, he is rather scared of lizards, i don't fear lizards, they keep the small insects away....haha

Thanks for response!! But i dont really hate insects except houseflies and mosquitos. Like you I don't fat spiders either. And also the one having long thinner legs. I don't fear lizards too. Funny !! your friend imagines spiders like a robot. I am starting to imagine it too...lol

Not all insects scare me, but some do. I am afraid of bees and wasps and spiders. Those are three insects that I just cannot stand to be around. All others, I can kill without fearing that they will bite or sting. That being said, I don't like any insect at all.

Yep these insects scares me too. But I never kill them intentionally. And i don't like any insects either. Some insects are annoying like mosquito and housefly i really hate them and sometimes i kill them too. Some are scary like cockroach. I hate flying cockroaches because they don't know where they are going and sometimes strikes our face too. Anyway thanks for response and have a nice time mylotting!!!!

There is no reason to be ashamed. Many people are afraid of insects. I don't hate insects but i am very much afraid of them. Specially cockroaches. Creeping insects are not much frightening because i can run away from them but flying insects? Eh.. There is no escaping them. Specially stinging insects like bees and wasp. They're the worst. I am not afraid of dragonfly though. And who is afraid of Mosquitoes? And flies are just irritating.

Hey you don't have to feel ashamed for having that fear....everybody have some fear about something in this world...you will feel good to hear that you are not the only one....i am twenty years old guy and still have fear from insects especially cockroaches....euuugh cockroaches just freak me out....i have been having this fear from my childhood and till now i also can't get rid of this fear....when i see them a chill runs through my spine...i feel that best way to overcome your fear is to face them...but i haven't dared to do so...so let's try together to face our darkest fear of insect and try to overcome it....good luck with that....

I am happy that i am not only the one who is afraid. I thought only girls mostly are afraid of cockroaches but now i am getting company. I have been trying so much. So far i have been able to touch the cockroaches but not grab them...lol . What about catching a cockroach today to overcome the fear...lol .From now on we are together.

hey freind i heard that u are scared of insects lol..
i'm also afraid of insects like cockroaches but not from dragonflies and especially not butterflies hehe...
how could u be so scared of butterflies rather they are so pretty and colorful...
i like them a lot... grabbing them is a different thing but playing with them is fun do u remember when we used to catch dragonflies on their wings and play with them..
those days were fun so how could u be scared of them now..
try to make yourself strong i know u can over come this problem...
but i cant tell about cockroaches they freak me out a lot especially when they start to fly here and there towards us... it damn scares the hell out of me..
okay then try to be brave my friend..later..

Well when i was a kid i used to play with them too. My brothers used to catch dragonflies for me and tie it a small thread and give it to me so that it can't escape...lol i used to have fun with it. I used to catch the butterflies too. Once I heard that if butterflies are touched and is touched in our eyes we may become blind...is this true? May be I don't know how did i become coward when i grew up.
Butter flies are the one which i like to see but afraid of it very much...lol.
Yep these cockroaches annoying and scary too. They randomly fly here and there and sometimes strikes with us. Damn i hate cockroaches too. I have always tried to be strong however i have not been able to get rid of problem yet. Thanks for nice suggestion. I will sure try to be more brave and strong. Happy mylotting!!!
