When the weather is hot and humid, I don't like to cook as much let alone eat a hot meal. So, in my household, the kids and I tend to eat a lot more salad. Is this the same trend that you have?

yes I cant be asked to cook when its really hot weather . I love salads and all sorts of chopped up veg . I chop apples and pour on some lemon jouce , carrots even couliflower . It all seems to get eaten I like to cook some potatoes when its cool in the evening and then I can chop them the next day and stir in some onion , sweetcorn and mayo that always goes down well ... any other good ideas *

Though I eat salad throughout the year but specially during summer season I take it more in quantity due to heat wave. Eating more quantity of green salad during summer keeps your body cool and protect from sun-stroke pkc3000

This is especially true in my household. My mom would stock up a lot on salads, fruits and other healthy food. I agree when the weather is hot and humid, it's great to be eating salad and lots of healthy drinks. Another great idea would be to have a fruit blender and making our own fruit juices. Awesome...

Yes summer here is definitely salad time and we eat it every day, all different kinds. Sometimes I like to add tiny new potatoes in their skins to the salad, I like the way they heat the salad leaves a little. We often have hot pitta bread with it drenched in fresh olive oil if that's as much of cooking I can brave in the humidity.

Yes. I eat a lot more salads, cold soups (like gazpachos) and lots of fruit in summer. In winter I prefer casseroles and pasta. A hot broth on a mug makes me very happy as it also warms my hands.

We definitely eat more salad when the weather is hot. I think it has to do with not wanting to slave over a hot stove or oven and also the fact that we have tons of fresh veggies/fruits from the garden during the hot times of the year. I love using fresh grown produce in most of my family's meals.
