Oh no! I lost my keys!

I don't know what I was thinking yesterday. I left work, stopped by the gym and ran on the treadmill a bit then picked up my DD from the babysitter's. On the way home, my husband calls from work to let me know Allie's babysitter called to let him know that she is out of diapers and I needed to pick some up. I needed to go to Target anyway, so no big deal. I'm surprised I didn't lose my daughter during my trip. She and I stopped by Target to pick up some diapers for her and a few things I needed. I set down my checkbook and my car keys and picked up something I needed and then walked off and left my keys AND my checkbook on that shelf. I realize this halfway across the store and rush back and find my checkbook but I didn't pay attention to my missing keys. I stop in the diaper aisle and stock up and it as this point in time I realize I forgot my keys. Great. My husband is at work. I know he couldn't break away and come pick me up and by this time, I've got a really cranky baby on my hands. After retracing my steps with no luck, I go up to customer service. Thank GOD that someone had the decency to turn in my keys. I pay for my stuff and leave before I put my daughter down and forgot to pick her back up. Have you ever lost your keys? Did someone turn them in for you? Or did you have to call someone to pick you up?

Thats why you should have a handbag and then you just have the one thing to hold on to . I lost my keys once in the snow and i had to wait till the snow melted to find them. I also left my purse on a bus, not that i realised until the evening when a bus was parked on the road by my house and the driver handed back my purse, luckily i put my address inside incase i did lose it.

I'm glad that you got them back.. Keys are really important in our lives and that's the most tangible thing that could ever be missing. I know that my keys are important but I always tend to misplace it at home. Like I would put them on the kitchen table, and then find them missing because I realized that I had put them in my room.
