Do you guys exercise? (in the morning? in the evening? afternoon perhaps?)

That's my question to you guys now. It's been proven that daily cardiovascular exercises increases your life-span. How? It increases it in such a way like this. for example you exercise for 30 minutes... your life span gets longer for an hour. So if you exercise daily for 30mins that's going to make a big impact to your life span. This is not the only advantage that exercise bring into a human being but a lot more. It even reduces mental fatigue up to 60% now... Do you guys exercise? How much do you exercise in a week? What is your motivation?

Nice information and Thanks for sharing it. But I don't do too much of cardiovascular exercise since I'm already slim. As far as I know, please correct me if I'm wrong cardio is for people who wants to lose their weight. So what I do is I jogged using my treadmill for only 15 minutes and three times a week only. In this way it makes me feel more energy and increase my resistance. Thanks again and happy myloting.

Thank you for the compliment. Actually, no... it's not just for the people that want to lose weight. The main thing why cardio is good for you is not because you are burning fat but because you are increasing your heart rate that's the main principle of the exercise.

Apart from swimming once a week I don't do any formal exercise. However we live in a semi-basement and to go to the toilet or the office (where I am mow) or the bedroom is 8 steps up and to go to the front door is 12 steps. We go up and down those 8 steps 30 or 40 times a day. You go up to the office find you have forgotten something and go down and then up again and don't even think about it. I do feel quite fit and I am 75 years old and I do have one leg.

Well I was 14 when I lost it so I am used to it and I did martial art training for about 30 years and hold a green belt for Akido. I packed it in when my good knee started to suffer. I go to an over 50s swimming session and I have a few friends there about 6 or 8 most weeks and I think I am the youngest.

You are 75 years old? and you still swim once a week? that's really something to admire about a person. That's really great I mean for a 75 yearold person you still can climb steps and you just have one leg. Hands down to you my friend May you serve as an inspiration to all the people out there

Exercise is one of those things I have to force myself to do. Therefore, I usually make it a new years resolution. I always keep my resolutions. I didn't make a resolution this year, so I haven't been exercising. I can tell the difference.

Home gym? really? I've always thought those things don't work that much unless you are a man of pure determination... That's what people said since they say that they get lazier when they have a home gym. Congrats! and that's really cool being a firefighter!!! MAN I WANT TO BE ONE TOO!!

I exercise a little bit each morning, maybe not 30 minutes worth. Usually some sit ups, and some jumping jacks, sometimes push ups, always stretching and Yoga. I do it because it helps me focus better through out the day and sustains my energy. It also helps me to wake up. Cheers.

No, I don't. I agree with you the phisical exercise is important and everyone has to do something during the day but I am too busy and too tired to do something when I am back home. The same problem, too busy or alwways late in the morning to have time for some exercise. Lunch time? No, I can't. So at teh end no exercise at all for me. That's wrong, that's not correct, that's stupid. I know but how I can? I have no time. Even 30 minutes are too many for me.

Now, i know excercise is suppose to be great for you. I have on occasion excercised, and actualy enjoyed it when i was going to a gym, but let me give you anther view point here. I am an active person, so no i do not excercise. I get enough excercise in a few minutes everyday without having to add. If a person has a heart problem, high blood pressure, etc. excercise is going to increase the heart rate, so sweating and raising the heart rate, is not such a good idea on that level. Sometimes people who excersise do it wrong to start with, ending heart attack, stroke, falls, heat stroke, and exhaustion, not to even mention dehydration. If a person is going to excersise that is not already active, then i think they should take the time to learn about excersise, and do it properly to avoid damaging their health even further.

I find time to exercise. Our body needs exercise to improve blood circulation, relieve us of stress, for physical fitness and to reduce our blood sugar level.

Thanks for reminding me about this important hobby of mine before. It's quite long already I'm not into doing my regular exercise early the morning becuase of a very busy schedule. I love jogging and a little stretching. Yes, I agree it's helpful to provide us a good health, not only physically as well as mentally. I start exercising again tomorrow morning!

Ya buddy this is an interesting discussion that i am interested to respond to, well my answer for this one is that i do exercise daily. I am a sort of person who is actually in pursuit of happiness, so i have to do a lot of things regularly. I am actually trying to be a part my college cricket team so i job about 1-2 miles daily and then i practice my game for about an hour early in the mornings sometimes it may well go to 3-4 hours as well. and apart from that one of my childhood dream is to have a Six-Pack. So i need to do them regularly and i on the brink of getting it. well lets see what exactly happens. . Good Luck. Take Care. Keep Smiling.

NICEEEEEE!!!! You've got the spirit to exercise!!! That's something to admire about people these days! Almost all the people I know are lazy to do them now. Don't know why... You'll look good feel good and live longer so there's nothing there to lose.

I try to walk a lot to get exercise in daily. And I have the Wii fitness to workout with daily. But I also have 3 flights of stairs in my house I climb several times daily. So I try to get a lot of exercise in everyday. I get about an hour in daily of exercise or more. I would like to be more active though.

Hello Jam. You've stated some interesting statistics! Yes, I do exercise each day, but I have a medical condition that prohibits me from doing it all in one long stretch, so I break it up into 5 minute increments to get in my 30 minutes a day. My motivation is health and flexibility, but beyond that, the normal human body was designed for movement. And I feel that in me, the need to move and exercise. A good discussion! Karen

Exercise definitely is good for health. But I don't exercise the way you think. I have two active boys at home and I teach kindergarten children. So, that's all the exercise I get. Being with them is more exercise than spending half an hour at the gym..lol My husband goes to the gym everyday (twice for half an hour each). I'm not sure what his motivation is because he started just a few months back. I had been asking him to because he was gaining too much weight and he was promoting slimming capsules...lol! But he wouldn't listen to me. I think what motivated him is the fact that he felt his body was tiring out too soon because of all the weight.

I used to exercise and it used to make me feel so good. Right now, I can't leave the house too much as my mother lives with me and I can't leave her alone. I do a lot of running around though, what with my five pet dogs as well as lots of cats, there's a lot of exercise in that for me...
