How many hours does your computer stay powered on in a day?

My computer here in the office stays powered on 24/7, except when you really turn it off to reboot the system. Well, we are always busy here so we need constant access to our systems.

Well buddy these days i am using a lot of torrent files to download a lot of e-books and movies etc so my PC is staying alive most of the daytime and it gets rest just when i get. It doesn't sleep more than 6 hours a day. And the remaining time it is alive. and apart from that i use my PC for programming and this my lot as well so it is a handy tool without which my day is almost incomplete...... Good Luck. Wow! Our computers might be very tired with all these activities going on... But good thing they are just machines, so they can't complain to us and shout: Hey I'm tired! LOL

Now its vacation for me.. so my system stays online 24 hrs except when there is power failure or heavy lightning ..

My office computer is what i mainly use and it stays on 24/7 as well. Everyone here leaves computers on 24/7. I dont know why but they say to leave them on. Sometimes we have to reboot them.

Well, so we have the same set-up with computers in the office... They also say to leave them on. I think this is for the system to be updated with latest information in the database. Happy mylotting!

aw! was it okay to keep the computer on for 24/7? well our computer is open from the time i wake up until the time i sleep... so that's about 9am-2am, sometimes just 12midnight...

Hmmm... It's OK for computers to keep turned on as long as external factors such as the electric current, room temperature, humidity, etc are kept constant.
