was I talking about small appliances ? LOL Funny thing, I usually preferred black & Decker over RCA. But it's always time to change my mind :) At the same time that my toaster over broke, my microwave decided to retire as well - I told you guys, with me, disasters never come alone! -. I decided to go to wallmart and get a new one. Again I was looking for one that could accommodate a meal for 4 people without problems, so it couldn't be too small. Other than that I had no special idea of what I wanted. But I was pleasantly surprised to see a combination microwave grill for a very good price and although I wasn't a big fan of RCA I decided to give it a try. I am quite pleased with it so far. It works very nicely. It's easy to clean. And the grilling part actually comes in handy. I can reheat pizza without it going all soggy on me, even garlic bread comes up pretty nice. And.... BONUS: the letters don't rub off when we clean it - hint hint black & Decker :)

Just wait, lol. But seriously congrats on a good find. That kind of microwave is very kewl. Before they made those I always used a microwave/convection combo, that is until I started using the NuWave for practically everything and then I got rid of the big old monster and replaced it with a very compact microwave...until we moved, that is, and the last two places we've been had spacemaker ovens built in. I am too much of a tightwad to have spent that much on a microwave, but since they came with the homes, I have to say they are nice. I especially like having the exhaust and light on the bottom. Enjoy your RCA!

Hah! ...and by that time nothing had better have broken on it! I just grilled summer squash and chicken on it again last night and I just think it makes the food taste so fantastic, especially the squash. They went on the top rack with just a little butter and black pepper over the top before nuking, and then on the lower rack I put a little pasta primavera to reheat during the last few minutes. Totally yummers. With more than two to feed you might need the extension ring though...they say you can do a whole turkey in one with that. I never tried.

Lol Twin, I used to have a big Combination Microwave and it was wonderful it lasted me 18 years and when it broke and decided it had done enough cooking, I was really upset and lost Now I just have a normal one as there is only me now and Gissi's food does not have to be heated lol so it rarely gets used It is good to see you again, I have missed you Hugs to you
