you. Many of us have been hoping no doubt that all this would pass quickly. Analyst seem to be saying it will pass soon one minute and the next you hear the oppposite. I have basically stopped listening to them. I must say that though the strain in terms of the increases and cut backs are pretty noticable, my family and I have not fared badly thus far. It is the middle of the year and I pray that for the next six months things will improve. No one from my family have lost their jobs and I am truly grateful. The bauxite sector in my country received the biggest blow of all. Well we braced ourselves and will continue to be vigilant and see what we can do to weather the storm. id definately hate to be out of a job now though. How about you? How bad has it been for you? Have you or any of your loved ones lost their jobs?

I heard quite a few people lost their jobs most people in this area where I live, work for automotive or autoparts manufacturing. this sector is hit hard so it's not shocking so many got laid off. Hubby has been laid off for over 3 months now I don't know if we can make it through next year but we will try our best

Hi LittleMel . Sorry to hear that your hubby lost his job. Like the automotive industry in the US the bauxite sector here took a hard hit. I have no one close to me who works/ed in that sector but a few friends I do not keep intouch with much. Wonder how they are doing. The men in that field are usually well paid but anyone can imagine that a resource dipped into all the time will soon deplete. I hope for the better and that your hubby will have some luck now.
