pets that talk - conversation with pets, listening and sharing between them
Yes I do talk to my pets..they seem to understand more than they let on during most days. They are great listeners and very comforting to have around. We had a kitty once that could say HAM...of course that was for most things we cooked. LOL

I do talk to my pets a lot. I think they DO understand a lot. My older dog easy learn different names. When I ask her where is her toy, she can easy locate any toy in few seconds. She can locate other dog and cat as well. I can talk about on and on. She is very smart.

When I talk to my dog she looks at me and tilts her head. :) I love that! Anyway, I do think she understands things I say like lets go outside, want to go to bed?, want some food??, ETC... I'm really amazed by how smart dogs are!

My dogs - My two beagle dogs, Chelsey (the bigger one, 1 yr & 2 months old) and Boomer (the little guy, 6 months soon!!)
I do talk to my pets, but tell myself everytime "ok, they don't understand" but i still do it LOL I know they recognize the tone of the voice and the vocal notes in our voices.

I can't say my dog will understand anything I say to him, but he's protection and obedience trained so he recognizes phrases well. He's also learned to recognize things I say to him regularly such as I say "excuse me" when I need him to move out of my way, and 99% of the time he'll move to another part of the room. Most other things he knows by association to our normal routine. He knows "No sir!" means he's probably doing something bad and to stop whatever he's doing, but he's probably picked up the tone of voice, not the actual words.

Oh yes, I talk to my pets. I know the dogs understand at least understand tone of voice and certain words. They pick up on happy tones and inflections, and they pick up on sad or angry tones, too. The cats... well, I think cats ignore people most of the time, anyway! :D

Most definitely! I use voice command and my dog is well trained. He actually talks back in his own way. He really is my best friend and his love is unconditional.
