I am joined there too because a friend of mine wanted me to. I do not visit there though. It loads too slow for me since I have dialup. I am glad you enjoy it though. I hope to meet friends too.

Facebook rocks! I love that site for the very same reason. It's great for keeping in touch with people that you may not normally be able to . It's great also for quick notes to friends n such. A lot of people enjoy playing all the games and applications they have to offer - but I really don't participate in them. I use Facebook mostly for keeping in touch and posting recent pictures.

A few years ago, we had a Mass Choir and I boarded with a friend in Edmonton. I have not talked to her or written to her, but when I joined Facebook, I went through my email address, found many of my friends in our local church were also members. Not only that, many of my friends who had moved out of the city also belonged to Facebook, and they knew others who were friends of Facebook that I had not seen for years. And it is a good place to keep in touch. It just rebounds. I love Facebook almost as much as mylot.

I too have been able to get in touch with old friends. I have reonnected with friends that I went to junior high school with. Many of whom I haven't seen since the semester break of 9th grade when I had to switch schools. It's been alot of fun catching up, seeing pics of their family adn friends, and discovering that we have all put on extra weight and grey hair!

Facebook is definitely an interesting site. I've had people come out of the woodwork that I haven't seen or heard from in YEARS. Of course, that also means that some people that I really wasn't interested in getting back in touch with have tried to add me as a friend on facebook as well. It's a double-edged sword. It's something that can help you get back in touch with old friends that you remember fondly and would like to catch up with. It can also enable people you've been avoiding for ages to contact you. In spite of the "downside" I still enjoy it, although I don't get on much these days.

I feel the same way about friendster... i have been a member for 5 years now... but only became active around 4 years ago... and since then... i was able to contact classmated frome grade school, high school, college... who i have not seen or talked to in years... it is always nice to catch up on things... and know that the friends we had years ago are still there ready to reconnect...
