About 2 months ago to pick up a package that is a month late in delivery because the mailman cannot be bothered to read a 7 foot signage where the name of the store to whom the package is addressed to is posted. I told their manager he needs glasses.

i go almost everyday but thats only because i get my mail through a po box on campus and its the only way i get outside mail that doesnt go to my house. also since i sell a few things on ebay i ship stuff that way too. i have to go to the post office to see how much it costs for me to ship packages and what not. so there fore i go nearly every day and if not everyday at least 5 or so times a week.

When I was active with ebay, I went several times a week also. Now, hardly ever.

I went a few weeks ago to buy holiday stamps for our Christmas cards. Usually,I just by a roll of stamps at Sam's Club when I need them, but they only sell basic flag ones. Before that last visit, I can't recall the last time I was at the Post Office.

I did not even go for Christmas gifts shipping this year, I shopped online and had things delivered to the places I wanted them to go.

very good question. i have not been to possible for last 5 years. email and internet has really captured the snail mail world. people really dont want to go and actually there is not even a single reason that people should go to post office and do so. it is good only in case internet is not accessible somewhere or people are not enough literate.

Hello erroll!(",) I love letters!(",) So sad that its been a long ago since I sent one to my friends. There was a time in my life when me and my friends used to write letter to each other since we moved to other place. As of I now, I think its been 3 long years already. Now, we used emails and cellphones to get connected.(",) Just right now, I'm thinking of writing to them through the mail because I missed them so much.(",) How about you?(",)

I am a frequent card sender. I create them on print artist and send a note in the mail often. I like to find things in the mail box, and I assume others do too, so I send them something to make them smile!

I take it you are no longer working, so do you still go into the post office frequently?

Since we have various kinds of weather here, and I have things sent to me that need climate control whether I'm available or not, I have a P.O. Box to go with my route box. At one time, I went to check my mail just about every day that mail would be there except for those days when I was out-of-town/out-of-state/out-of-country, sick, otherwise busy, or the weather wouldn't allow me to. Now, I have some mobility problems, and the post office where my box is could use some improving when it comes to handicap access, so I'll go there during less busy parts of the day and when I feel up to going all around the building to get to the ramp. I'm not in a wheelchair, but I can no longer do steps well. Hopefully, this will be a temporary situation that will improve once I've lost some weight. I'll still have the trick-knee but not all of the other complications that way. Anyway, I try to visit my P.O. Box as often as possible, because it has a way of piling up fast I generally go to this one post office in Pendleton to mail off some special packages most of the time with a couple of other easy-access post offices (Markleville & Chesterfield) being used occasionally for this, too. The packages are what I call TLC boxes or TLC packages, and they have much-needed items in them that go to Invisible Youth Headquarters to be distributed to homeless teens and children. If you would like to have more information on this, you can go here: http://www.freewebs.com/ajpenlady/iynrcinfo.htm I'm actually planning on starting a discussion here that will tell even more about this, so stay tuned...

In this day and age of mobile calls, text messaging and emails, I can't even remember the last time I sent snail mail. I think it was about 1 year ago when I was posting some CD's to relatives in another state.

I will admit that I use snail mail regularly, but I am terrible about going to the post office. You can to usps.com and order shipping boxes, tape, stamps, etc. I just order everything I need online and have it delivered to my house. I use flat rate shipping envelopes and boxes so I don't have to bother with wieghing the items. I just affix my postage and put my boxes out for my mailperson to pick up. I never have to go to the post office unless someone sends me something that I have to sign for and even then, I only have to go if I am not home when the mailperson tries to deliver my item. I think the last time I went to the post office was with my mother so she could buy stamps and that was like 2 months ago. Heck, you can buy stamps at the grocery store so really, you almost never have to go to the post office.

Two weeks ago. I have swaps and books to send out and though I try to get there when the need hits, I don't. I get there every couple of weeks. I tried to get Stamps.com and such to take that pressure off me, but don't have it at present, so that is why I am on this now.

I was at the post office today :) I buy & sell a lot on eBay so that requires a lot of trips to post things off to pick them up if they're too big to be delivered. I also bought some stamps so i could get some of my letters sorted out & then i went back again later this afternoon to post the letters off! I think i'd be lost without the postal service, it helps me keep in touch wth friends world wide that dont have access to the internet!
