I stayed away from the computer for an entire day! That's the first time I've done that since... well, since before I ever got the internet! Normally I'll check my mail at the very least. Nope, yesterday I didn't even sit down at my desk! I spent the whole day with the family. Have you ever spent an entire day away from your computer?

Ahhh thanx, I was quite poorly for a few days, I should have come home on the same day but something went wrong and I ended up being in for 5 days. Ive still got a risk of having to go back in but only if I get an infection which i am seriously hoping i do not!!!

The last time I was off was for week in April when I went back to UK for a week. Sometimes I do stay offline for half a day if I have things offline to attend to but it does not happen very often. If Ijust pop out to the shops, which are all very near then I stay logged in. Next Friday I will be away in the evening - concert to attend!

Its good to take rest from the computer.I have spent one month away from the computer because my computer was under repair.I normally try not to use the computer on sundays. But i end up playing games on it without internet.I use it only to check important mails.I cannot spend a day without computer.I will feel bored.

The last time I took a whole day off from the PC was this time last year when I spent 7 days in hospital, so it was an enforced absence. It was actually quite nice having the time away from the PC but pretty much as soon as I was out of hospital I was back on the PC, sad I know. Although I use the PC everyday I do try to have one day a week where all I do is check my email and that's it, making sure that I only respond to the urgent emails rather than anything else.

When my husband is home, my online time is limited, but lately I've been forcing him to give me the time to do what I have to do. Yesterday I decided none of it was important enough... and I'm glad I stayed away!

Oh my gosh! How did you survive??!!! I have to do that on occasion, if we're going out in the evenings and I've been busy all day. I feel so deprived when it happens! I dont think I'd miss it though if we went on holiday. I'd be having too much fun to care then :)

I just woke up and decided spending time with my family was more important than being online. We brought the kids to a new playground and had a great day!

I have in fact stayed away from my computer for a week or so at a time when I had no need to. I just was either really depressed and wallowed in self pity or was busy doing things that took me away from my computer. But I always regretted it..because when I go back and check.. I have thousands of email..and mostly all from mylot...so it will takes me weeks to catch up..like I am doing now..

Wow. I think the only time I've done that is when my internet would get shut off because we hadn't paid in awhile lol. And even then I think I found some reason to be on the computer. That is when I would bust out the old dusty computer games that I haven't played in awhile lol. I would sit and play them for awhile just to be on the computer.

Oh plenty, but I've also spent plenty of time near the computer too! lol! I can stay away if I want to, but now making money draws me to the computer more then anything, oh that and the sims!

I seem to spend the day away from the computer when I actually intend to spend quite a bit of time on it. When that happens, it is really frustrating for me. Once in a great while, I will spend a day away from it on purpose, but that doesn't happen too often. Even on the holidays, I seem to find a few minutes to, if nothing else, check my email. Yesterday, I did get on my computer, but only for about 15 minutes while I was waiting for my husband to be ready to leave.. After that, I didn't een bother trying to find the time to get back on it. Instead, we played badmitten in the back yard with the kids.

Yes I have spent several days away from the computer but usually I'm on the internet all day every day. Sometimes I wish there was something else I could do but there isn't.

Sometimes my work keeps me too busy to got on my computer but I at least try to check my e-mails so they don't get out of hand. I take online surveys and write articles and movie review so I like to leave a little time each day for my computer because I have gotten used to the extra money. If I stay gone from my computer more than one day though, I really start to miss it and have to get back to it.

I could take the computer or leave it. I have spent many days away from the computer and then hate myself for it with all of the emails waiting for me LOL

I did spend a few days away from the computer when I went to Seattle to visit family. I did have my Ipod touch with me which is capable to connecting to the internet. But after a while I had to check my email and update my facebook. It wasn't so bad. I think the only reason I did not check it is that I was out and about and did not have the time.

That's amazing!!! Even if I am out with my family or mates, my phone would still keep me attached to the Internet LOL Good job. Keep it up if you can!

I noticed I had a problem; plus it was enhanced by my family treating me like the "secretary." So one day God prompted me to a 24 hour computer fast...to tell you the truth...I'm pretty sure I had withdrawal symptoms. I had to leave the house after prayer. My family members were amazed...and perturbed because I couldn't help them that day or answer their so called "emergency" emails. I like to make sure I fast from my computer more often so I'm not so surprised that there is a world outside the box of my PC:o)

I'll admit I get edgy when I can't go online at least once a day. I used to go to the beach, where there was no internet access, and have to go for a week at a time without checking my email. Egads! Now that I have my iPhone, I don't have to be away from it at all.... Kinda pathetic, isn't it?
