Why very nice people, here in mylot, have the star rating so law?

Well,I am not sure.At least i think i am luck.i have just post about300 posts and i get a red star.At first i have a pink star than i have a white and yellow at last i have a red.it's rating quickly.I have to say thanks all of you.Thanks for your like my duscussion or responding and give me'+' and i wish every nice person can get a good star too..Have a nice day~

Hi icesmile, I have never taken the stars seriously. I have noticed that the day I give a frank but somewhat controversial or negative answer to a discussion , my star rating has fallen. But I cannot lie or answer in any other way.After all it is we members who rate each other and we are Human with all our merits and demerits...

As I understand it star ratings are not based solely on the votes given by other members. Since most of us are in the dark on this issue, we can only make assumptions or guesses which may be way of the mark. If we read the Guidelines properly, we may see the clues or hints. Assumptions can be made from any understanding of the guidelines. Just bear in mind that there are more than three factors involved.

hi ice smile actually i think the star rating depends on the activity ,more activity and starting discussions can improver star rating. i came to know this by experience t also depends on how entertaining your responce is , even it should be informative.

Rating doesnt depends on only quality of post there are many other features are involve.You will have to consentrate on it.They play importent roles in this case.And second thing that i want to say that you can not decide about people wethere they are nice or not nice with one or two dicussion . you will need to get as deeper as you can.I can say that you are not nice people becouse if you are nice , you would not have started this type of discussion.

Somewhere along the line, they got negatives for their responses because other users didn't agree with them. I don't think that is right, but it does happen. We all have a right to our opinions and others should respect them, as well, as we need to respect their opinions. It seems shallow that others will act that way just because they don't agree with others. How would they like it if they got negatives, because others disagreed with them too? They really wouldn't like it so they shouldn't do it at all. I don't give negatives. If I don't agree with someone I won't rate them at all. I always give paositivess. That is the way it should be. This often happens because of people out there with nothing better to do than to give negative raitings. Also, there are people here on MyLot who like to target certain people for reasons that no one will ever figure out. Also, sometimes people join a site like this specifically to target certain people they know are also on here.

There are several probability, may be they have start a discussion lead another responder to a fight, even they said good thing it have enough reason for the responder to give them minus rating at the discussion. Second probability is may be you just find them at the best picture, people sometime wearing mask, pretending to be nice but actually they have stronger bad image than they should have known, that's why their "enemy" often give minus on every discussion they post. Third probability is may be they're nice and funny, but also often give simple one or two sentences answer, nobody like given lazy answer like that, or they giving no comment to the responder, that could also lead them to minus rating.
