Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Sleeping helps you process anything you have studied. Also do active studying, by this I mean just don't read your review book and expect to remember everything. Use a highlighter while reading, or take notes on what you are reading. Also make a concept map. A concept map is when you put the subject of what you are studying in the center of a piece of paper, and then you draw lines to ideas you need to know for that exam. Then each idea branches off into things you need to know for that idea. It can help you figure out what you really know and what you don't know much about. Hope this helps and good luck on your exam and happy early birthday!

Yes, you're right. I have experienced a lot of times that I don't get enough sleep, it causes me headache and it results to a very low grades. Having enough sleep is the first thing I must remember. I really appreciate the tips and ideas you have shared. Surely it helps. Thank you so much for the early greetings. Again thanks and God bless you furbs178.. :)

It depends what sort of material it is that you are studying. If you need to memorize definitions I recommend recording them on a phone or recorder and replaying it over and over. If it is theory, try and understand what it is by picking out the key points, then try and find someone that you can teach it to. I find teaching is a great method of learning. Formulas? I recommend copying them out several times. For my examinations, my professors sometimes put up crosswords and mini quizzes which always helped to. Hope that helps! Good Luck!

Hi Courtom, thank you so much for the response. I really appreciate it. When it comes to formulas,I really have a difficulty on how to apply the appropriate formula in a given problems. Thank you so much for these tips.

it depends on the exam. Sometimes, it takes me about a week to prepare for a really long exam. but because of the lack of time and too much things to do. i cram for the exam, usually studying the night before. It worked most of the time but sometimes, i just blackout the next day.. it's best that you have a good night's sleep before the exam, don't cram and try to study little by little:)

Dont let pressure spread over your mind. And take food time to time.Eat more chocklet during examination it will help your mind to remember lots of things and it will release your stress. You said that you have only two weeks for examination then you have lots of time for preparation .2 weeks are more then enogh for any examination. I dont know about you but for me 2 weeks are more then enogh. So all the best for you examination and welcome in advance.

To prepare for a long examination, I usually study 3 or 4 days before the actual test day. To avoid distractions, I always shut myself in my room. There is no television nor a computer inside my room. That is why I prefer studying there to avoid distractions. When I feel I am getting sleepy already, I just turn on the radio or get some coffee. I just push myself to study every single thing so that I would get a high mark.

I don't know what kind of examination you are preparing for, so I can't give you specific answers. But I'll give you some general tips. I haven't had an exam in years because I'm already done studying, but I can still remember what preparations I did for my exams. Like what everyone else does, you should study hard every single day, except for the day before your exam. On that day you should've covered every lesson already and just relax so that you would also feel relaxed on your exam. Do not try to cram because that just builds up tension and anxiety. I suggest you also listen to classical music before going to sleep because studies say that classical music actually helps the brain waves to have a smooth flow, or something like that. I've actually seen classical music work wonders on the minds of people, like my friend who got better in classes the more she got better in playing Mozart's piano pieces.

I try to repetitiously study the materials I have. If I'm in a class where we're not given a study guide, I create one based off my notes, the textbook, online materials, etc. I've found this extremely helpful in my Art History classes. In Japanese class, we're given study guides that we fill out and review in class, then it's up to us how much we review them by ourselves before an exam. I just do as much as I can without tiring myself out. Getting plenty of sleep helps. Just do as much as you can until the time of the exam without overexerting and stressing yourself.

I would try to study the material as much as you can before the actually date of the exam. The key to studying is not to cram all the material at once because you obviously won't remember all of it. Take your time, its good that you are starting so early. Take a good break every 40-60 minutes and do something that is completely different then what you are studying. Get a good sleep the night before the exam (you will write the best you can) and make sure to have breakfast with protein in it like eggs. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR EXAM!

I always print out any old tests that class has online or study guides and do those. Also if you have any friends in that class I always just ask what points they are studying for. Often your friends will be studying the same certain topics that you can focus on as well. And always get a good breakfast! :)
