Between spring and summer, I will choose the end of May or early June. Avoid the Holy week in April. I believe that the best time to go is in October or November though. The climate is pleasant and it is not a peak season during those times. Mid January is also good if you want some mild cold climate In Barcelona, take the tourist bus in Plaza Cataluna. It can bring you to major attractions like La Sagrada Familia, Parque Guell, the Olympic City, the Barrio Gotico, the Water front, Montduic, etc. If you are traveling with kids, try the aquarium and the zoo, and don't miss the Tibidabo Amusement Park to see the best view of the city!
