The budget is a pretty good job under the circumstances. The finance minister has tried to provide something for everybody- the urban, Middle class, rural poor, Corporations and the individual. This budget seems to be better than the previous year's budget as it lead to the increase in the price of all the commodities and other necessities. But there has been no stress upon the measures to revive the Economy back into its healthy track and the real benefit of the BUDGET could be obtained only if the promised words in the budget are put into action. This is what my opinion goes about the Union Budget-09. What are your views regarding the Union budget-09 in India and measures to improve them.

Ya he has done a good job.. and its a good progressive budget.. mainly for the rural population it can't be any better, and its good as more than 75% of the country population lives in villages, there are steps like increased rural road development which will help in rural growth as well will be a boost for auto industry. Also there is lot of emphasis on education which is other positive sign. Only negatives can be that there are not cut in taxes at the time of slowdown.. also infrastructure development has been restricted mainly to govt. institutions with no scope for private investors. All in all its a good budget with good scope of growth for agriculture, education and defense.. also there are good steps for manufacturing and services.

yes vipinl you are correct and for the first time ever there has been something for everyone in the budget session. But will the promises be delivered is a big question to be asked. Congress government promises many attractive program but not al of them have been successful and the same doubt arises in me over this thing too. If the promises are delivered, then there would be definitely a good future for every one of us. Cheers:)

I too agree with you . This is a good budget despite a few things like Disinvestment plan and a few more things missing from it . The increased spending on Rural Employment Generation,Infrastructure,Housing, Defence , Agriculture etc is good .This would generate demand in the economy , push the GDP growth and reduce Poverty and hunger . I hope that the benefit of these measures reach the last of the poor and they are not left out of these measures . Regards

Yes you are correct. The disinvestment plan is missing. Even regarding the employment opportunities, there has been no clear cut clarifications that has been given in this Union Budget. I mean out of the 12 million job opportunities that have been proposed to be carried out in this financial year, what are all the important areas where the job opportunites would be created or developed. Yes, the benefit of the budget measures must reach the last of the poor and they must not be left out.

Yes, I have heard that the budget is pretty good because it contains lots of things for the poor people in Inida, mainly agriculturists and the people who are involved in small sclae industries or home based industries. Yes, the Cogress have given importance to 'Aam Aadmi'. Let us wait and see how it will work out.
