Well in India we used to have Joint family system i.e all the members of the family your relatives, grandma, grandpa, mom, dad just everyone in one big house. Nuclear family means only your dad, mom, you and your sis/brother. But now times are changing. In India also most of them prefer to stay in Nuclear family system. Which one do you prefer and if given a chance will stay in a joint family like that ?

I think both nuclear family and joint family have their own advantage and disadvantage. Nuclear family is more simple, easy life, while joint family will have lots of fun together. But i think i preferred nuclear family, maybe becasue that's the family i grow up. I think joint family will have too many people, once memebers are too many, things will easy to lost control, i don't like that.

I live with my parents, my brother and my grand father. We are five in all. I prefer people staying in a nuclear family. You have a more freedom of decision like this. I don't have any uncles so there is no question of living in a joint family. I think even if I had any uncles I would have prefer that we lived away from them and my grand parents lived with us. :)
