We have all come across discussions here where myLotters ask, what movies or what genre of movies you like. I am interested in knowing what genre of movies do you hate or dislike. I for one cannot stand Senseless action and bloodshed. It can be so so stupid.I sleep through such movies, if I am forced into watching them Yet another genre I hate is the so called "Horror flicks" that have a lot of gore in them.I like Psychological thrillers, not movies where you have blood and stuff oozing out. Ewwww. So what about you all. Please share your views.

Hey you... This is such a great topic. I'm a movie addict and pretty much anything that's cool to watch, I'll watch. It can be genre for movies like X-men, or Spiderman right up to Titanic and many more. I like gangster movies too and I'm so anticipating fantasy genre like Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and also Johnny Depp's Public Enemies. The list just goes on..

Wow! So our likes when it comes to movies is similar. I like chick flicks too and reality based movies. I love- The shawshank redemption, The constant gardner, Hotel Rawanda and movies along those lines a lot. I also like convergence stories. You may not believe this but I have not seen Family Man. I know I know, kinda pathetic. But it is up there on my "Movies to watch" list now.

I don't like horror movies especially gory ones. No matter how many I've seen it makes me scared to be alone in the dark even if I didn't just watch one. They stick in my mind and I can't get them out. My imagination is just so powerful I think. I also do not like musicals-well most of them-I do like Mary Poppins. :)

I do agree I have also asked a question like that Lol The genre of movies i hate is Horror, I think those movies are crap, however there are a few good ones that i've seen but most of them suck pretty much. Me, I'd rather see a good Scifi movie (Big fan of the BSG, Stargate series/movies)or a (romantic)comedie, that would be alright too =).

Oh that is cool. You into Sci-fi and romantic comedies is it? I like romantic comedies too. I like some movies that fall under the Sci-fi category, but not all. If its too much of science fiction, I get irritated and sleep off..LOL Thanks for your wonderful response! Now go watch a good movie.

Hi Cbeee....and I do not care for that type of movie either. I do not like horror or paranormal movies . Who in their right mind can actually watch these things and sit there and laugh at them. That is exactly what my grandaughter and her friends do. When any blood is shown they start laughing. I told her she really scares me more than the movie with her behavior that goes on when she is watching them. She says grandma it is not real......well it might not be real but ii is not something I can lauch at either. It seems like that is all they are coming out with much anymore are horror and occult movies and then they say we have bad youth...well I wonder why? flutterby

@ your granddaughter scaring you more than the movie.LOL. I agree with you.Occult movies should not be watched by teens according to me. I mean when youngsters watch it, their belief system is altered. Hmmm...This could be a topic for another debate really. Great response!!

Hello cbeee3 this is checkmail and recently saw an really aweful wildlife movie, just the movies is disgrace to the humanity. The movie name is vipers.Oh my there the viper snakes which hunt the peoples so badly, that it made me really sick of that movie.Especially the closing shots and the effects given to it were just too good for not watching it.One another movie like that was of some snakes hidden in mountains and get everywhere after the explosion in mountain.Oh its really too scary and awefully to see the snakes doing such a good job.

Oh my god! I could never see a movie like that. I am very and I mean very scared of snakes. In fact if you even show me so much as the picture of a snake, my heart starts beating 10 times faster!! And I scream like no one elses business..LOL I could probably just get a stroke looking at those slimy creatures. Gosh, thanks for sharing this with me! You are brave in my eyes to even sit through that movie.

I dislike animation genre. Its all about fantasies. I liked some movies though. Kung fu panda was good. I personally feel animations are not for grown up's. Besides, I am always mocked of watching cartoon if I watch animation movies. cheers!!

Oh ok! To each his own I guess. I find that some animated movies get a little too much for me. But I loved Kung Fu panda,The prince of Egypt, Madagascar etc. I have watched a lot of animated movies off late coz of my little niece who is just 4 years old. That is when I started realizing some of them are very well made. Thanks for your response!
