Ghosts and or Spirits?

Has anyone ever accounted a ghost or felt a spirit? Or how about someone who has passed away in your family, have they come back to visit you? Maybe talk to you or touched you. Maybe they came to you in a dream and you then knew they were going to be alright. I can tell you this horrific experience I had back in 2001. I survived the WTC disaster. I lost a bunch of friend but two of them were very close to me. About a day later they both came to me in a dream. One was sitting on a window sill of the WTC. I said to him Bob we have been looking for you. He was just smiling back at me and said I'm ok. The other person was lounging on a beach chair overlooking the WTC disaster but it was now all green and pretty and he was smiling and happy. After that dream I knew both of my friends were ok and it gave me a bit of closure. Please share if you have had any similar experiences. Thanks!

About ten years back i was visited by a spirit in my bedroom several times and for a period of 4 to 5 years. The first time i saw it, it was completely white in color but later on it used to come in a black gown. Even before it appeared in person , for many years i used to feel somone patting me once on the back, shoulder, legs, hand, in fact anywhere on the body. I would turn around to see who it was but did not spot anyone. Later it became visible and it would appear a few days before or after the New moon or full moon. I used to suddenly wake up at around 2.00am at night and see it standing by my bed but not doing any harm. I never felt afraid but only curious.It used to come usually in the month of August-September. However after a few years it stopped coming, probably thinking that i was too boring a company for it.
However i had a truly frightening experience a couple of years after this apparition stopped coming, when a spirit physically attacked me everyday for a month. This i will relate to you tomorrow or when you respond to this.

Oh my God how scary. I would be freaked out by the touching. That has happened to me but I've never seen anyone around. Also someone would call my name out and no one was around. To be attacked everynight please tell me about that.

Sorry for the delay lelin,i was busy elsewhere. Well, this other incident took place in Oct 2003. One night i felt a cockroach on my bed and over my body. I brushed it off immediately and went off to sleep. Very rarely do we get the roaches in our house so i did not bother much about it. The next day it happened again but this time there were two or more.Then the next night it happened once more but the number increased. They were all over my body and i had a tough time brushing them off. this was unusual cause i never experienced so many. The puzzling thing was that i could not spot any cockroach. One night i stayed awake and caught a cockroach in my hand and did not allow it to escape but when i opened my fist there was nothing in it. I was horrified and i i knew instantly that this was not natural but supernatural. Now this became regular and i started losing sleep at night as i was attacked all over the body. This went on for almost entire October. Towards the month end i contacted a holy person, a guru whom i knew. He asked me to keep a leaf of a plant called "Tulsi" which is worshipped as sacred in India,in my mouth the entire night. He said that he would get up at 3.00am at night and meditate and let me know the next evening.
When i called him the next evening he said that an evil wandering spirit was causing the mischief. He said that he would give me the solution for the problem in writing in a couple of days and send it with a disciple of his as he was going to Australia for a couple of weeks. I received the letter with instructions on what was to be done and followed it earnestly. Slowly the attacks which had peaked to about fifty times a night started dwindling and in 20 days had virtually stopped. One night and a few days after nothing had happened i suddenly saw an extremely hideous and degraded face staring at me for a few seconds when i had closed my eyes. The face was so horrible that my entire body turned icy cold and my blood literally froze in my veins. My tongue went dry with fear and though i tried to scream no sound came out. the vision lasted for about 10 seconds and then disappeared forever. When the Guru returned from Australia i reported everything to him and thanked him for his help. He said that i would never be attacked again and if something like this happened again by chance, i should follow the same method which he had given me.Anyway, so far nothing has happened and i hope it will never recur again.So thats my story.

Veejay are you ok you haven't told me what happen that made you get attacked everyday for a month. I'm wondering are you ok. I even sent you a private message. Did the attacker come back. Write to me soon if you can.

Sure they are real. With us in this realm it is hard to see them in that realm because of the "veil". However it is not hard to "feel" them if you want to. Good you have that connection with them. Hopefully it is a lasting comfort for you.

I am not sure if Ghosts are real or not I'd like to believe they're real but I have never encountered one before in my life. I'd kind of like to though, just to say I saw one or not. But I do like to watch Ghost movies and stories. I like hearing ghost stories and are always a lot of fun to listen to.I think some mysterious supernatural force is around us.If there is any scientific evidence to show the existence of Ghost,then we can believe it.But,not yet no one is providing any concrete evidence for it.It is something special in hearing Ghost stories from grandmother or grandfather in my childhood.I can never forget those days.

I loved hearing ghost stories growing up and still do. My dad had a bunch of good ones when I was growing up. I have to ask him about them again. There was one that was extremely scary. I can't recall it all though. Thanks for responding.

Hi, I have some sort of same experience also. I lost one of our close friend while we were on the beach. We went to the beach in the morning and saw the warning signage placed. I told my friends we shall cancel our plan today, but all my other friends said we shall talk to the beach life guard. Thelife guard said, it's not very safe however still can play in the water but stay close. Since we got the permission, we forgot all about the danger! A sudden wave took our friend and he was missing for 2 days. I saw him in my dreams that night when we lost him, he is like on the beach smiling and waving at me. We found his body third day. Very sad to loose a friend right in front of our eyes!

Oh my goodness that his so similar to my dream. How horrible for you I'm so sorry for your loss. I believe though since he was waving and smiling at you he was saying goodby and that he was at peace.

well i got a experience of ghost or spirit..but it was unknown spirit may be needed some help.its not like i knew him but still i must tell u.
actually me and my frnds were playing cricket and our ball got to a treeeey area(its at our road ends a small jungle sorta area).it was about 8 at nite but some street lites were giving lite there in that area too. so we just went in that area to see if we find the ball ..we searced for abt 2-3 min then we saw a woman in yellow dress. first we thought she must live nearby then we saw her coming closer at somr good speed. we neglected her and kept searching the ball. in a second wat we saw was that she moved through us .oooooo chhiiiilll we shouted and run away ..i never went there again

Just a few years ago, I felt a presence of a spirit in our house. As i was on our living room playing ragnarok, My hairs on my back suddenly stood up and i felt a cold gush of wind passed by me. Then at a blink of an eye, I apparently saw some kind of image right in our kitchen, which i cant really describe. Then I had goosebumps again as i felt that someone was watching me.. I was alone that hour and it was really creepy.

I'm the former president of our county historical society. In 1998 we were the recipients of an old mansion which contained the first frame house in our area. The oldest part of the house was built in 1827, it was a two story four room house that was used in the early days as a tavern, stage coach stop and a place for travelers to stay until the next stage came along. The house was added onto about 4 times and today is a lovely mansion. Wealthy families lived in this mansion and have since all passed away.
I gave tours of this old mansion to school children from the third grade on up to high school. I always told them that I didn't believe in ghosts, but they always wanted to hear about the strange things that happened in the mansion. So, I would tell them about three things that took place while I was there.
Every year in the late summer the society has a festival and tours are given of the mansion, one-room country schoolhouse, museum and log cabin that we now have at our site. About every month or two dinners take place with a late night tour of the mansion (ghost tours), most people taking this tour come out of the mansion believing in ghosts. I know what took place while we were restoring the mansion as far as wierd things happening but haven't as yet taken one of the ghost tours. There have been people there that check houses for ghosts and such and they agree that there are spirits or ghosts in the mansion. You can PM me and I will send you the URL for the historical society website and you will be able to see a couple of photos taken that show a person in a large mirror that looks ghost like.
The tour guide who give the ghost tours always goes into the mansion ahead of the tourists and tells the ghosts that they are having guests and she wants them to be on their good behavior, but she also wants them to show up. So far they have been friendly.

Yes, I have encountered spirits and ghosts. The first one that I can remember was nine years ago, at the age of twelve, when I felt icy cold hands on my arms, when I was all alone in my warm bedroom. It was a really warm summer day, and I don't remember there being any breeze or anything like that. That was my first encounter and I've had experiences with them ever since.

Oh...ghost and spirits, one of the things that i most afraid of. I admit, i'm the type of person who is afraid of all this mysterious spirit things. Perhaps, i'm thinking too much, or maybe it's the influence of the tv shows.
I do not have any experience with all these ghost or spirits in my life. I'm grateful that i did not have,haha. Though, i've heard much of it from my friends and relatives, and some also from others' stories. It is sometimes hard to believe, but on the other hand, it seems like these spirits do really exist in this world.
Anyway, we'll just do our own things, live our life peacefully. As long as we do not 'disturb' them, i believe they won't find trouble with us too.

I think I have felt a spirt when I sleep sometimes. I lay down to sleep and close my eyes and my eyes begin to feel real heavy and won't open but I hear everything around me. But the feeling is terrifing sometimes. It feels like someones presents is around and pure shock enters my body. One time I could hear a voice talking saying shhh she is asleep and noone was around. I could also hear the fan go from low, medium and high it scared me so much. Its weird I can hear everything around me but my eyes will not open like there so heavy someone else would have to lift my eyelids for me too see. It is such an awful feeling.

With these stories I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. That is so scary! You don't have the nerve to just sit up in bed and see what is going on? I think I might have to because that is alot of stuff to be dealing with. Thank you so much "I think" for sharing your story. They are spirit. Many people have experiences like this including me in 1997 now I believe in spirit. And many folks told me the same stories over and over. I believed in them cos I saw it, too. But in my feeling I felt just a man and I'm just wondering about that strange thing, later my friend told me the same spirit and I believe him. Have a nice day.

just got one more experience today!!!gosh may these ghost help me like this..we r constructing our house .. i went there with my father to see hows it going my father was inspecting the ground floor and i just wanted to go upstaris to see the terrece ..i went strait up. as it is constructing house so we havnt done indian rituals till now so i know it was not a good idea to go there at nite alone..but childish curosities took me up..wen i was in the middle way of stairs i heard some falling noise from the 1st floor but i thought may be some worker is there..and did some adjustments . wen i went up i was no where so again i thought may be it was some wood which got stuck in wind and messed up. i wasnt in anydougt but ten i felt something unusual .i saw a plank of wood at some height from ground and felt some person looking around.. although i cant say the plank was up in the air as may be i couldnt see the base of it but still i felt a presence of someone wen no one was there ..it didnt saw the person but just felt that he was trying to push me away ..ok i felt afraid and got downstairs ..we all heard something falling upstaris wen we got there it was a piece of brick which was on the top floor and fell on grouund where i was standing...i cant say god helped me but ghost helped me!!!!!

So I never believed in ghosts, or at least, I was resistant to the idea until they could be proved to me. But one night, I was driving to pick my girlfriend up at work, and she worked way down a deserted street that had a graveyard on it. It was about midnight and I was driving slowly, because there were no streetlights and I didn't have great headlights, and as I came up on the graveyard, I saw a woman walking next to the road. She was wearing a long yellow dress, and I didn't even notice her that much at first, because I just assumed it was someone walking, but as I passed her, I noticed that her dress was really old-fashioned, with petticoats and bodice and everything, and also that her skin was the same yellow as her dress, almost like a faded photograph color. After I passed, I looked in my mirror to see her again but she was gone. There was only a small fence, not big enough for her to be hidden behind, and nothing in any direction close enough for her to have ducked behind or anything, it was all open. She just wasn't there. I pulled over for like ten minutes to see if she came out from behind anything, just in case, but she didn't, and I was too scared to get out of the car and go looking. Probably smart. :-p

Oh how scary. That person you saw reminds me of a figure I saw in my house growing up. She was downstairs in the basement. I went down to do some laundry and there she was standing next to the boiler. Long dress all in yellow including hair and skin. I dropped the basket, screamed and ran upstair so fast. My parents said I was white as a ghost. My dad went down but of course it was gone. Thanks so much for sharing.
