Tell me your secret ingredients for ADOBO.

I like to cook and improve my favourite dish, CHICKEN ADOBO. Would you mind my dear kababayans to share your secret ingredients for your adobo?

just add a tad of oyster sauce to bring out a new flavour. it really tastes great. however, do not put in too much. it is a bit sweet and is really wonderful.

I also do the same. I put oyster sauce and a bit of sugar on it and lots of black ground pepper.

The word "adobo" means marinating in Spanish. I´m sure this traditional dish was brought from Spain where it acquired some special traits due to the special ingredients the country had to offer. I have been checking at the extra ingredients that are in the phillipine recipes and I see soy sauce as a must and optional tomatoes or coconut milk.

For me i always want it a bit spicy... Add pepper or chili.. Or Ginger..

vinegar,sugar, a lot of minced garlic and pepper. additional, but bananas
