We already know that the black smoke is a security system, the hatch (Swan Station) was build to keep the island a secret to the outside world to able to keep the islands location hidden they had to keep pressing those numbers, a few episodes after the hatch gets blown up the people on the boat find the location of the Island and they are able to go to it. In the last episode we see Ben who kills Jacob (who he thinks is Jacob) and cause i think that Jack's father is Jacob, who just has taken John Lock's body (that could be the reason why jack had to put his fathers shoes on Lock before they did enter the plane...) anyway i think that we will get an answer to everything in the last season of Lost, who are the Hostlers?, what are they doing on the Island?, why the Dharma team was there, how they found the island... Lost will probely end with the plain landing in LA and everyone would be a stranger to eachother.

Swan station was not built as a security system to keep the Island a secret. At first it was just another station, but it turned out to be over a very high region of the electromagnetic energy that is part of the Island and the station ended up being a control for that energy which was accomplished somehow by pressing the button and resetting the clock. If the clock ran down the energy was released as happened when Flight 812 was brought down or when, later, the station blew up. The island was kept a secret by another station.

What I'd like to see next on Lost is the plane landing in L.A. None of the characters know eachother but somehow feel connected and must, once again, find eachother,

I think the bomb worked. But I'm not sure it worked entirely. Maybe they go back in time, but in their minds there are still memories of it. Something kinda like Donnie Darko. The experiences they had on the island really happened, even though the time went back. You cant erase everything. I think the bomb worked and they will remember some bits, and then try to understand it more, and then get back together and go look for the island. Ok, that sounds stupid, but it will depend on the writer doing it. LOL
